Role: BI Manager BICC Department Riyadbank

BICC Department was established early 2009 to help Riyad Bank promote business intelligence in decisions making and leveraging information by providing insight of the data, sharing a single point of truth, high standards of data quality and information governance, all aligned with business strategies.

As member of BICC - BI Reporting team, I managed to be involved in the following roles and duties:
• Managing a team consisted of (4 BI and Analytics developers) to ensure timely high-quality reporting and analytics have been delivered.
• Maintain the BI layer design best practices to ensure that the BI standards compliance are applied.
• Improve the BI awareness and Utilization and maintaining strong relationship and communication with the business.
• Improve the quality of deliverables for the team and effective interaction with end users.
• Improving the BI team advisory and consultancy role and increase the positive impact of using the BI in business decision making by empowering BI self-reliance across the enterprise through business users support, BI champions capacity building, readiness and handover.
• Support bank-wide BI Champions to develop their own requirements, by sharing EDW/BI knowledge.
• Development of KPIs and dashboards.
• Advice and support the Developers to maintain the business intelligence reporting frameworks, tools, and data marts; works cross-functionally with various business owners to determine and meet their reporting and analytics needs.
• Plan and implement the overall analytics and business intelligence (BI) strategy.

Responsibilities:
• Managing a team consisted of (5 BI developers and ODS System Analysts) to ensure timely high-quality reporting and analytics have been delivered.
• Advice and support the Developers maintain the business intelligence reporting frameworks, tools, and data marts; works cross-functionally with various business owners to determine and meet their reporting and analytics needs.
• Approve the final project management plan during project management plan development.
• KPIs, Service availability Reports, Reviewing and enhancing SLAs & OLAs.
• Capital Cost and Operational Cost Control CAPEX/OPEX
• Interviewing, Hiring, coaching performance and appraisals.
• Plan and implement the overall analytics and business intelligence (BI) strategy.
• Support Business Departments to enhance the business analysis and take the best decisions.
• Work with business owners to identify information needs and develop reporting and Dashboard to all business departments.

Achievements:
• Member of lunching team for Enterprise Data warehouse and Business Intelligence team.
• Design and Manage ODS(Operational Data Store) Solution For more than 2 Years.
• Develop with the team the hole company semantic and analytics layer to ease and avail all company’s information to business departments.(develop analytics and data marts for each business department) .
• Develop more than 50 KPIs Dashboard for many od company departments.
• Develop automate recovery system for the Usage CDRs and Finance records
• Develop a Automation solution to Operation Data warehouse system processes.

Core Network monitoring using accSS7 solution in (STC (Saudi Telecom and ZAIN Kuwait and Telecom Egypt)
Project Description:
• Develop Data warehouse (DWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) solution to provide reports and analysis on the network and feed the company EDW(Enterprise Data Warehouse), Revenue Assurance and fraud departments.
• Enhanced capabilities have the fraud detection and other business value added features,
• Integrate acceSS7 solution with the existed customer solutions.
Job Description:
Technical expert tasks:-
• Develop Cubes and data marts and reports over signalling CDRs (Call Detailed Records)
To Network, Fraud and Revenue Assurance teams.
• Analyze signaling messages and advice solutions and enhancement to core network team.
Project manager and team leader tasks:-
• Lead 2 engineers and 2 technicians.
• Measure the subordinates KPIs, Resource management., Receive the customer new requests.
• Follow up the project status to ensure that project millstones will achieved as it planed in the project time plan.
