• Working with Compliance Director to establish and maintain effective and appropriate financial crime controls (including AML, CFT, sanctions and ABC) within the Zones, including customer due diligence (on Companies and agents), periodic review and suspicious activity reporting.
• Support Compliance director to set up appropriate policies, controls and procedures in relation to financial crime (including AML, CFT, sanction and ABC) that are commensurate with the risks presented and that these are reviewed and updated regularly as required.
• Monitor effectiveness of the policies, controls and procedures and make improvements where required.
• Support the customer file remediation project.
• Work towards the goal of ensuring RAKEZ compliance with all other applicable regulations (including with limitation CTR and FATCA).

• Handle the on boarding cases review and approval of the high risk customers under business banking, correspondent banking, investment and wealth banking divisions.
• Perform full Enhanced due diligence in all the referred High Risk customer cases.
• Communicate effectively and efficiently by emails and phone calls with relevant internal and external parties to obtain KYC documents and to finalize the cases.
• Performing the due diligence on new Clients, requesting the KYC information, documentation, review and verification of received documentation and making an analytical risk assessment for new Clients.

I am currently holding the position of Governance, Risk and Compliance officer under Legal and compliance department. Handling the following tasks related to AML and Compliance, Risk management, Internal Auditing and Regulatory and Governance:

• Keeping up to date with applicable legal, regulatory and compliance developments in the market. Managing responses to the regulator.
• Assist MedNet to grow their governance systems and culture.
• Devising pertinent compliance evaluations and mitigations strategies.
• Assist with giving clear and tailored compliance and legal advice with the assistance from the Regional Team to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
• Fostering excellent cooperation with the regulators.
• Acting as a responsible and responsive guide on governance issues.
• Manage all compliance matters and issues at MedNet.
• Advice and supervise departments on fulfilling their compliance obligations and investigate compliance or other breaches are avoided but if made are also remedied expeditiously.
• Perform staff compliance training and ensure adequate communication on compliance issues is provided to employees to meet regulatory requirements.

I held the position of Senior Compliance Officer in Anti Money Laundering and Compliance Department starting from 15 November 2015 until 25 January 2018, handling the following responsibilities and tasks:

• Assist the Regulatory Service team when needed in updating the court / police received letters. Then check for each mentioned customer if he is having an account with the bank (retail or business/ commercial customer).
• Handle all correspondent banks Questionnaires and check relevant documents required for establishing new correspondent banking relationships and perform the required names checking, screening and the necessary due diligence effectively within the stipulated time.
• Handle all correspondent banks transactions inquiries related to transactions monitoring and investigation, cooperate with the concerned branch and relationship manager to reply the correspondent bank within the agreed time. Along with maintaining and updating related registers of all incoming and outgoing communications within SLA.
• Perform the daily screening check of existing customers against sanctions list, maintain and update the confirmed matches list. Contact the related account relationship manger if there is any doubt regarding any customer match if required.
• Ensure on a daily basis that the AML system related to the screening module is working properly without errors and report to IT support any errors occurred accordingly.
• Manage and handle the remittances (wire transfers and swift transfer alerts) and pre-account opening inquiries within the SLA.
• Establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with internal departments like financial institutions, remittance department and all branches.
• Coordinate with business team in analyzing the new to bank customers to establish new relationships with other foreign banks. And coordinate with KYC team when any possible /confirmed match identified during the process of account opening, then update the required internal registers accordingly.
• Perform the yearly due diligence of the bank’s correspondent banks and check the required documents which needs to be updated along with their AML Questionnaires.
• Maintain an effective relationship with the regulators and ensure complying with sanctions and regulatory regulations to avoid any breaches.
• Be familiar to all central bank policies and notices and assist in analyzing and reviewing the bank and department’s policies and procedures from compliance perspective.
• Act as the point of contact of receiving all Central Bank new notices, read and understand it and circulate it to the concerned departments within the agreed TAT.
• Ensure that all the relevant registers maintained by the unit are updated on regular basis. Attend Central Bank Inquiries for any doubts related to any of the bank customers.
• Update the required weekly, monthly and half yearly reports required by central bank and forward it within the agreed time. Assist in preparing the quarter reports for sanctions and compliance activities to the head of compliance and sanction which to be discussed during the board meeting.

I held the position of Team Leader - Consumer Credit Department in Credit Administration Department from 03 June 2013 till 12 November 2015, handling the following responsibilities and tasks:

• Different types of retail loans & Islamic Products documentation in addition to the Islamic credit cards.
• Checking of all types of Retail Loan documents.
• Checking & signing disbursal sheets prepared by the team members.
• Instructions to prepare booking of loans by the concerned department.
• Checking and signing Credit Cards Applications and instructing concerned Department to issue the credit cards.
• Supervising the department by distributing daily work.
• Responsible for the team members on any Department issues and to resolve them amicably.
• Instruct, train and guide my team members in regard to the different work issues / New Products and process launched by the Bank.
• Make sure to attend all the inquiries coming from branches and other departments.
• Prepare the retail Insurance reports and send it to the insurance companies on monthly basis.
• Check and Sign all the retail loans amendments instructions.
• Check and sign all staff facilities instructions.
• Responsible of assigning the liability and no liability letters requests and then check and sign the letters once it’s ready.

• Check and sign the takeover loans manager cheques letters to other banks ( cover letters, guarantee letters and offer letters)
• Handling business loans documents checking and authorizing its disbursal.
• Make sure that the team has updated the MIS in a daily basis.

I worked as an Officer in the Credit Administration Unit in the Whole Sales Banking/ Commercial loans / Corporate where I was responsible for the following:

• Preparation of Commercial facility documents (including the Facility Offer Letter, Renewal / Acceptance letter along with other supporting documents for each customer or facility)
• Checking of Commercial/ Corporate Facility Documents and sending email to Relationship Managers for required documents. Checking all signed documents and if there are any exceptions send e-mail to Credit Approval Department for any clarification / approval.
• Upon completion of the required documents, Upload the Limits/ facilities or disburse the Commercial Loan for each type of customers Commercial or Corporate, issue or print pay orders, create the transactions as per every case requirement.
• Extract the Commercial / corporate insurance expiry report from the system and send the Insurance Advices to each concerned Relationship Managers and follow up with each of them till renewed insurance is lodged in the system.
• Extract the Central Bank Commercial/ Corporate customers' Facility/ Security report from the system and upload it to the central Bank site each month. In addition to upgrade or down grading of some customers as per the approval.
• In addition to the daily tasks, replying emails for the inquiries from concerned Relationship Managers, maintain a proper follow up for the uncompleted documents, attend calls and be an excellent support staff for amicably resolving all issues.
• Checking of each type of the Retail Loans documents including Loading, opening and disbursing different types of retail loans (personal loans, car loans, staff loans and Islamic loans) in the Bank's system in addition to processing Retail Customers overdraft facilities and installments deferments requests.

• I worked in the Institute Of Training And Judicial Studies in Sharjah as an HR Administrative Officer for one month. Doing the following responsibilities:
 Responsible for all staff affairs.
 Responsible for attendance and leaving
 Responsible for the staff out permissions, sick leaves and annual leaves.
 Responsible for the store and taking any materials from it.

I have worked as Retail Banking Executive, Personal Banking Advisor and Customer Service Officer with the following responsibilities:

• Answering customers calls relating to their bank accounts related inquiries
• Helping customers checking their accounts and printing accounts statements.
• Attending to customers complaints and forwarding them to the concern departments.
• Explaining to customers about all kinds of accounts that the bank have and helping them to Open and close accounts.
