Follow up, monitor, and control of MEP subcontractors on mechanical design, shop drawings, procurement schedules, planning and manpower of MEP subcontractors for 2 five star hotels, grand villas, & beach villas which will be operated by Jumairah Group once they are handed over to client Eagle hills through Turner project Management.
Follow up, review, comment, on deferent main body design of grand villas (12no’s) & 2-hotels of both mechanical & electrical systems.
Organize site operations for MEP activities mainly on outstanding works for Saraya Project (SAQ) in Aqaba, which are mostly finish works for standard king, twin, disabled, and suite rooms of different types. Landscape, back of house, front of house, façade lighting are part of my scope in SAQ project.
Operations are controlled & executed by 4 junior Engineers (2Elect. + 2Mech.) and 6 supervisors / forman, whom they follow progress and construction requirements to MEP subcontractors.
Mechanical & Electrical system are of hotel / building EPC type, which have to be coordinated for reflected ceiling plans in rooms & corridors, and also for shafts.
Allow for weekly progress meeting with MEP subcontractors, coordination, tracking of procurement schedule and work shop to finalize design/shop drawings as applicable.
Initiate site walk through among subcontractors & with JV main contractor to resolve uprising site issues and insure open fronts for construction to MEP/Civil team.
Issue work inspection summary schedule for released rooms and follow 4-wks look ahead schedule produced by main contractor.
Maintain method statements in effect at site along with inspection & test plan to maintain QC as per outlined JV project procedures.
As Senior MEP Coordinator my duties were limited to insure flow of engineering, technical and progress of MEP subcontractors at SADARA project.
Such duties are but not limited to:
1- Follow up with client/consultant engineering progress, submittals, matters, concerns, and issues for MEP systems as per standard requests of information & workshop meetings.
2- Attend to Progress, Coordination, and Technical meetings with MEP subcontractors.
3- Full coordination of MEP activities on site of 11 no’s of service buildings such as:
o Plumbing Systems (storm, drainage, sewage, water supply).
o HVAC System i.e. Chillers, FCU’s, AHU’s, Fan’s, Chilled Water Pipes, Ducting.
o Fire water Systems (sprinklers & FHC’s) and indoor extinguishers..
o Electrical: Power, Lighting, LC, LV, MV & Transformers; coordination for electrical Hub & Generator’s Buildings along with electrical systems inside battery limit.
o Coordination for infra-structure services with interface limits, client and other contractors adjacent to project’s boundary limits.
4- Advise on MEP subcontractors planning schedules, material’s procurement status and follow ups, contractual concerns as needed, and measures to insure meeting as management’s target.

As Senior MEP Coordinator I joined ESEC (at Finishing Stage) in P1, and in P2 as Supporting Senior Construction Coordinator for ESEC-MEP. Generally I monitor & report back to management of coordination on ESEC & MEP Partner in their progress & interface issues with material, labor planning of projects.
Major duties in both projects are including but not limited to the followings:
1- Reviews, analyzes and resolves the mechanical and electrical (M/E) field construction designs problems, discrepancies or interference's with M/E subcontractors and main construction contractor (El-Seif).
2- Coordinates the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing elements of both projects, with contractors and engineering, identify and resolve all potential interference and conflicts.
3- Reports issues of non-conformance and poor quality in liaison with the QC Manager.
4- Supports the Construction Manager to ensure timely completion against schedule and makes recommendations to increase resources to improve performance where required.
5- Builds and maintains a positive working relationship with the subcontractors and satisfactory of Project’s Client.
6- Ensures subcontractors compliance with permit to work systems, access releases to work, operating companies' procedures and, HSE plans.
7- Full coordination of MEP activities of utility buildings at both Engineering & Construction stages.
8- Attend to coordination and progress, meetings with ESEC-MEP partner, (E/M Subcon), and main contractor (El-Seif).

As MEP Coordinator I supervised & controlled performance of MEP subcontractors at strip of service buildings which are the central utility plant of PNUW facilities. There are 18 buildings serving PNUW campus of 8M m2 which are Generator, Boiler, Chiller Plants, Warehouse, Solid Waste, STP, LPG, Pump station, Data Center, Administration, Mosque, Driver Mess, Car Port and Maintenance Building plus 4 no’s of reservoirs they are potable& drinking water tanks, Elevated tank and Irrigation tank.
Major works are but not limited to the followings:
1- Coordinating with Cairo Office as JV in following up, updating, expediting consultant approvals, of MEP drawings, materials, and site clarification requests.
2- Updating JV & Subcontractor’s submittals of drawings, materials & procurement, method statements, progress on site internally with our management weekly progress meeting.
3- Full coordination of MEP activities of utility buildings.
4- Attend to Progress, Coordination, and Technical meetings with Mechanical subcontractors.
5- Advise on Mechanical S/c Planning schedules, contractual concerns and all measures to insure smooth & fast actions to enhance progress on site to meet target dates.
6- To clarify and reply to all correspondences from JV management, Consultant, JV Cairo office, and subcontractors in line with our site management approach.

As MEP senior Coordinator I had managed a team of site coordinators & Inspectors for MEP subcontractors on this 7M ft.2 of residential & Commercial Development (Motor City-Green Community)
Major works are but not limited to the followings:
1- Updating all submittals of drawings, materials & procurement, method statements, progress on site with Project Manger (Edara) of Client (UP) and Consultant (Khatib & Alami).
2- Full coordination of all MEP activities to serve all types of Buildings for this community such as Town Houses, Family & Luxury Villas, Terrace Apartments, Bungalows, Recreation Centers, Commercial Center, GSM Towers, Lakes, and Water Features.
3- Attend to Progress, Coordination, and Technical meetings with PM, subcontractors.
4- Control all coordinator's daily reports and resolve coordination issues in MEP systems installation to avoid any delays in construction activities.
5- Report to commercial manager for any contractual issues of MEP Subcontractors in attached details and to evaluate MEP PVO's and payments.
6- Coordinate and conduct internal meetings with all subcontractors of deferent trades & system suppliers to insure compliance and quality of installation and up to satisfactory of the Client thru PM.
7- To clarify and answer all correspondences from PM, Consultant and subcontractors in line with our site management approach.
8- To insure installation of MEP systems as per base / revised program. Such systems are HVAC, Drainage, Water Supply, Irrigation System, Lifts, MEP Works of the Lake & Water Features, Landscape Lighting, DEWA subcontractor for cable laying, Power Supply, Access Control System, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, BMS System, ...etc.
As a mechanical engineer all experiences I have earned and practiced are fully focused on plumping & drainage systems in both contracting and supervising business. Along with all said systems, there are attachments such as lifting, boosting, & submersible pumps . Piping sizes of said systems are within the range of 15mm - 600mm of all material types such as UPVC, ESVC, PPR, Thermo Pipes, CPVC, CS (BSP-GSP-DIP), Copper, PE, Concrete Pipes and Pre-Insulated Pipes.
Construct Shop drawings of M.E. works based on original contract drawings & approved materials to confirm approvals.
Ensure that all mechanical engineering works are being executed in accordance with QNOC Procedures and QCS .
Co-ordination with main Contractor’s Engineers .
Review and comply with Time Schedule of Main Contractor and adjust with any recovery plans if needed.
Supervision of UEI Foramens on their procedures of Installations, Erections, Commissioning, and testing of Mechanical Works.
Erection of 5 no’s of air cooled water chillers capacity of 320 TR (YORK-MODULE)
Erection of 5 no’s primary (end suction type) chilled water pumps capacity @ 800gpm@80ft wg.
Erection of 12 no’s of secondary chilled water pumps ranging (100-650)gpm @ (80-280) ft wg.
Pre-insulated chilled water pipes under ground system ranging sizes (100-300mm)@L=3800m.

Air handling units (41 no’s) & fan coil units (83 no’s) capacity range 8-500 KBTU/HR.
Installing black steel chilled water pipes sch.4o inside buildings ranging sizes 20-100mm by means of threaded & grooved type fittings. Total length of 2400m.
Installing two fire fighting systems;one for building’s sprinklers system and the other for fire hydrants. Each system powered by one packaged horizontal fire pumps(1 duty+1standby) 500gpm @ 70 psi & vertical centrifugal jockey pump rating10 gpm@10 psi.
As Planning & Mechanical Project Engineer; main objectives are to establish Project Method Statement, Time Schedule, Sequence, Quality & Safety Plans. Also to carry out all Mechanical Works as planned, take-off Quantities of Project Documents in co-ordination with Project Manager.
Submitting Material Procurement, Submitals and Updating of Schedules. Projects are Infrastructure & Conventional Buildings Type consisting of :
Water & irrigation network (Ductile Iron pipes+HDPE pipes) sizes fm 25mm to 300mm with all fittings, valves, chambers &commissioning the system.
Sanitary sewers (UPVC+RCP+DI pipes), storm water drainage(UPVC+RCP pipes) starting from profiles to hand-over, including manholes.(both infra-structure & conventional buildings)
All plumping & sanitary fixtures works of conventional building.
Installing exhaust fans, AC split units(along with copper piping), water heaters(E+M), galvanized steel pipes of water, XLPE pipes (under floor fm WDB's to Fixtures).
Erection of horizontal centrifugal split casing pumps (at 80m3/hr@60m head@1500rpm), electrical 2spd 4-way lifting crane with beam (IPB160).
Auto CAD, Primavera, MS Office Applications were essential tools in submitting all shop & record drawings, materials, quotations, payments, scadules, 2-wks look-up, updates….etc.
All works were performed in co-ordination with Japanese mechanical sub-contractor (Shin Nippon Air Technologies Co., LTD.)and by controlling manpower.
Such services include HVAC system(ducting, air handling units, fan coil units &AC-split units).
Installation of refrigerant copper piping, AC-drain piping(to drain system).
Installing fire fighting system that consists of black steel pipes, fittings, zone gate valves, hose reel cabinets and glass break pts. (to control fire-water pump's operation.)
water supply system, hot & cold water network, complete irrigation piping &tap manholes. All piping works are excavations, laying of pipes, backfilling over pipes(insulation of GSP&BSP) if laid outside of buildings .
Erection &connections of water pipings, valves, and appurtenances inside building (3floors+roof) to all shafts, kitchens, bathrooms, mechanical room, guard room & swimming pool equipment's room. Such water piping are : galvanized & black steel pipes, thermo-pipes(blue-pipe), high density polyethylene pipes.
Drainage & sewerage system, sanitary fixtures. Noting that all materials used are CLIENT(Japanese Embassy Rep.)IMPORTED, which it should meet & comply with actual site conditions (too many modifications &shop drawings were submitted ).
Erection of gasoline pumps(two) station .This also include arrangements of underground black steel piping & insulation, suppling &installing 3000l gasoline underground cylinder-tank, installing all electrical wiring &control cables, and instrumentations to the system (level & capacity).
Follow-up of materials submittal, quotations, claims, invoice making, control labor, finishing’s, testing and commissioning up to extreme satisfaction of Japanese officials .
My duties were to execute mechanical works of (MPS) Muwagger Pumping Station. Also to install pipe extensions of water wells (BS Pipes) to (MPS) for Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ).
This includes compliance with Jordan Public Work specifications and tender drawings.
Implementation of all electromechanical works of pumps, control panels, PLC, remote terminal unit, telemetry &computer control system of all wells & pump station performance. That is to send & receive signals from MPS & water wells(6 no's) and to communicate with Amman Main Water Distribution Center.
Water of wells were treated by Air-Blowing (to remove sulfur) before residing into concrete reservoir, and disinfecting outgoing water by chlorination process.(at suction side of the pumps).
Water pumps (150m3/hr@250m head), 2duty 1standby, were operated on soft start tech. to eliminate sudden rise in pressure controlled by pressure limit gauges & pump control & surge valves.
Pipe laying of underground water supply network (DIP&HDPE) and all fittings, valves &appurtenances.
Erection of sewage lifting(three) pumps & its chamber room’s arrangement by using HDPE piping.
Controlling manpower, communicating with supervising staff & client
Additional works at company offices were submitting materials of said projects, quotations, as-built drawings, technical correspondence, follow-ups, and other-tender pricing & quantity surveying.

Supervise the performance and execution of mechanical services along with construction works of public schools in Irbid Governate.(CLIENT: Ministry of Education)
Directs and control field contractors, consultants and suppliers activities.
Such supervision includes but not limited to approval of submitted shop drawings, sketches, materials, field and lab. tests in compliance with tender & specifications.
Main mechanical works were installing domestic cold water networks(GS pipes), water supply pumps, drainage, ventilation, sewerage(UPVC pipes) network & manholes, and rain water PVC piping system, boilers, chimney, HVAC system .
Provides technical and diagnostic guidance to an assigned work group in order to resolve problems concerning the installation and maintenance of HVAC and auxiliary equipment Prepares sketches of proposed work and assists in the design and specifications of planned jobs or contracts.
Studying and approving shop drawings and material submittals according to contract specs.
My job was to check & follow-up on all mechanical installations of conventional buildings of under executing projects .Such installations are :
Sanitary installations(fixtures) including testing & commissioning of vitreous China washbasins (complete to service), counter top washbasins, stainless steel double bowls, urinals, floor drains &clean outs.
Drainage system installations include UPVC pipes with all fittings, fixing supports and excavations & backfilling over pipes (sizes varies fm 50mm to 160mm) and construction of manholes .
Domestic hot & cold water of galvanized steel pipes with valves, fittings, supports (sizes:20mm to 100mm), including galv. water tanks. Installation of Water Distribution Boxes complete with manifolds, air vents, globe valves, under floor XLPE pipes.
HVAC including installation of exhaust fans (M&E), AC split units(Residential) &copper piping, electrical power, and all necessary accessories to complete the works.
