- Perform analysis and supervise preparation of proposals of solutions and services. Covered solutions include cellular technologies (2G/3G/4G LTE), TETRA, WiMAX, Microwave, Last Mile Connectivity, Small Cells, Distributed Antenna Systems, Wireless LAN and RFID.

- Performed TCO analysis of standardized telecom broadband access technologies.
- Built Smartworld's telecom access network based on Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON) technology with an initial capacity of 8000 business subscribers.
- Integrated the converged Access Network with Smartworld’s core MPLS and SDH cores as well as Etisalat’s service cores (VPN Corporate Services Core, Metro Core and High Speed Internet).
- Assisted Infrastructure department on the policies and strategies for passive network element (Fiber Optics) deployment and development.
- Prepared the companies technical proposals for Smartworld’s prospect clients which covered Airport Systems and Government ICT projects.
- Manage establishing a wireless network to carry internet and telephone traffic to construction sites in the new Jebel Ali airport and cities surrounding it. The work involved with this project involved evaluation of various wireless access and microwave vendor equipment as well as working on renewable energy sources for remote sites such as solar and wind power generation.
- Manage in-building WiFi solutions to provide ubiquitous coverage throughout the buildings of the new Jebel Ali airport and cities’ buildings.
- Supervise the sharing criteria for GSM mobile sites among the UAE’s two telecom companies du and Etisalat.
- Supervise GSM in building system sharing criteria and ensure reaching design approved by both telecom operators. Also ensure that a Smartworld WiFi system can be integrated with the antenna system of such deployment.
- Responsible for the technical aspects of new innovative applications of radio technologies such as RFID and the likes.
- Manage the BWA Radio Planning and Optimization activities including those for WiMAX, OFDM Pre-WiMAX and indoor public WiFi coverage networks.
- Supervise Optimization of OFDM Pre-WiMAX links to various customers which provide double play services (i.e voice and data).
- Managed the technical activities for the Dubai Metro WiFi project where we were aiming at providing broadband internet connectivity to moving trains over WiMAX backhaul network, these activities included preparing du’s technical proposal to the RTA and managing the RFP issuance, evaluation and vendor selection.
- Prepared the RFQ for the Dubai Metro WiMAX network which provides broadband connectivity to the metro trains.
- Manage the relationship with the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA) for Radio licenses and resolve outstanding issues including possible WiMAX interference with FSS stations.
- Supervise and manage the preparation of indoor RF plans for deploying WiFi networks.
- Responsible for Radio Planning activities including planning of WiMAX and OFDM Pre-WiMAX links to extend the fixed network services to customers over the last mile.
- Prepared the sections of the RFQ for the WiMAX network covering Radio Planning, Backhauling and BTS Hardware areas.
- Take part in WiMAX network RFP evaluations for the Radio Network Plan and Radio Backhauling sections. 10 major vendors’ plans were evaluated including Motorola, Siemens-Nokia, Samsung, Alcatel, Cisco and others.
- Supervise and approve the designs for deploying WiFi networks from both data network and RF coverage points of view.
- Interact and provide du’s input on vendor’s RF plan for both WiMAX and older FSK and OFDM technology equipment.
- Perform, analyze and report on test results for the purpose of evaluating trial deployments of WiMAX service provided by Motorola, Alcatel-Lucent and Redline Communications.
• Administered the corporate LAN Network, Servers and computers, an environment of Windows 2000 Server and clients running Windows XP Professional, 2000 Professional, and NT.
• Worked on solving connectivity problems on both the LAN - WAN interface and the VPN (based on Cisco PIX routers) connecting Canada’s office to the other worldwide offices.
• Increased security by introducing anti-viral software, anti-spam server software, blocking un-used ports, shutting down un-used services, implementing an IIS lockdown, and rolling out new service packs and critical windows updates.

- Successfully perform installations of MALDI-TOF and Ion Trap Mass Spectrometry instruments with the cost of millions of dollars and set them up with proper parameters to run better than set specifications.
- Troubleshoot customers’ instruments and diagnose the various software and electronic components of the Mass Spectrometer.
- Setup, patch, and troubleshoot instrument controlling workstations running Windows NT Server, and solve connectivity problems.

- Provide introductory training for the customer after every installation and bring them to a suffecient level of profeciency to fully operate the spectrometer.

- Supervised Revisions and modifications to the GSM frequency plan, hand-off parameters, antenna downtilt, and radiated power.

- Planned periodical testing of the GSM Radio Network performance by means of drive tests and data collected in the OSS.
- Periodically used Ericsson’s TEMS tool for troubleshooting radio network problems and analyzed data collected with Ericsson’s TEMS software.
- Supervised troubleshooting of the GSM Radio Network, and worked on improving the service quality by introducing radio network features such as frequency hopping and dynamic downlink power.
- Made written proposals for cell plan and coverage and service objectives to be met by Jawwal’s second phase project which was supposed to increase network capacity and number of base stations by about 40%.
- Participated in the frequency coordination committee to help resolve issues in the use of shared GSM frequencies between Jawwal and Orange mobile companies.
- Started work as a Communications Engineer in the company’s GSM project that later became Jawwal’s cellular network.
- Provided aid, help and comments to the GSM project director on PalTel’s GSM network bid proposals from major manufacturers such as Nortel, Motorola, and Ericsson in the process of selecting the bid winner.
- Performed site surveys and prepared reports to include longitude and latitude site location, various factors affecting the usability of the site, and finally made recommendations for two extra alternatives to serve the affected area.
- Closely supervised Ericsson’s BTS equipment installation and integration into Jawwal’s GSM network.
- Took part in the bi-weekly held joint implementation follow-up meetings with Ericsson AB.
- Participated in the modifications done to the original Cell Location plan to improve the provided service.
- Was member of the Testing for Acceptance committee for the radio part of the network which included the Ericsson base station equipment and the radio network performance. Hardware installations such as antennae, and antenna cable installations were tested for the wave reflection using VSWR scope.
- Degree course of study covered communications systems such as satellite and terrestrial communications systems and the electronics circuit design for applications of RF communications. - Major project work on Wideband Radio Wave Channel Sounding for Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) channels with UMTS wideband RF signal, where antenna arrays were implemented on both Tx and Rx ends to characterize the MIMO channel and superresolution techniques were used to determine the radio waves’ Directions of Arrival (DoA). - Grade obtained on the major project work was an excellent 84%.
- Degree program covers Communications, Power Systems, and Computer Architecture with an emphasis on Electronics. - Major graduation project work on design and implementation of Phase Controlled AC to DC Power Converters employing power electronic devices.
