- Undertake the management of site activities, surveying and setting out.
- Check drawings and quantities.
- Schedule selected materials for ordering from the procurement
department.
- Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet
an agreed programme of deadlines.
- Liaise with any consultants and sub-contracts engaged in the project as
necessary.
- Supervise and monitor the site manpower and monitor the work of any
sub-contractors.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered.
- Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are
maintained.
- Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that
may arise.
- Arrange testing of materials.
- Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used.
- Keep a Site Diary.
- Fully interact with other members of the construction site team (team
player).
- Liaise with other function/departmental managers.
- Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate areas of my
responsibility.
- Ensure work is delivered in accordance with the specification.
- Safety Culture with the entire site team.
- Undertake other duties as required by the Site Manager to facilitate
construction of the works.

Collaborate with the operations team and other teams in the central office
to plan, schedule and coordinate project activities, dealing and sort the
activities plan with the client and the consultant; including site work and
handing over the activities which were finished.
Leadership and responsible for supervision of many construction and
infrastructure activities in the project : New Orbital High Way-Phase 3
(NOH-3) with many underground networks ( Drinking Water, Drainage,
Storm water, Foul sewer …. )
This project is belong to ASHGHAL, which is located between Salwa
Road high way and Messaied city : 48 km length, 2 ways, 7 lanes each side
, 6.4 Billions Qatari Ryal cost, including 4 big junctions and bridges in
between the total length with protection of many QP lines (Qatar
Petroleum gas pipelines which are life and dangerous, so its protected with
a special technic including precast arch slabs construction over the
pipelines and then the road works will be over these arch bridges ), Also
there are some other activities such as:
- Investigations and Surveying Works.
- Site offices construction with electricity and water supplies.
- Trial holes to check the services and utilities underground .
- Excavation of underground lines by trencher and excavators.
- Excavation under existing gas pipelines by drum cutter and sometimes
by manual jack hummers.
- Bedding and laying pipes using heat shrinkable sleeve at joints.
- Pipeline connection with chamber using putty and wrapping at joints.
- Swapping and pressure test for water pipelines.
- Chambers construction and fittings installation.
- Tanking membrane and bitu-board for the chambers wall.
- Chamber ladders installation and paint the walls inside.
- Thrust blocks construction at bends and crosses.
- Valves installation according to drawings.
- Surround for pipelines and caution warning tap (pipeline below).
- Backfilling by layers and compacting at least 95%.
- Shut down to connect between new and existing water pipelines.
- Storm water network with catch pits and gullies construction.
- Drain lines network with manholes (Pre-cast rings installation) .
- Preparation and Setting out of the roads.
- Levels (steel pin).
- Formation (cut or fill).
- Grading layers of sub grade.

- Trial holes to check the services and utilities underground .
- Excavation of water lines by trencher and excavators.
- Excavation under existing gas pipelines by drum cutter and sometimes
by manual jack hummers.
- Bedding for pipeline 300 mm by powder.

- Sand bedding 150 mm.
- Polyethylene sleeving works.
- Laying pipes and using lubricant and putty at connections.
- Bends works (Elbow:11.25, 22.5, 45, 90 and T) at curves and crosses.
- Thrust blocks at curves and crosses.
- Fire hydrants according to drawings.
- Sluice, air and wash out valves according to drawings.
- Sand surround 250 mm.
- Caution tap (water pipe below).
- Backfilling by layers and compacting at least 95%.
- Request for inspection for every stage of work.
