Key Responsibilities:
• Networking, developing, designing, implementing environmental protection, occupational hygiene, workplace hazard management and risk assessment programs in the company.
• Conceptualizing/designing and ensuring all mechanisms are in place to achieve the identified ‘tourism sector’ EHSMS targets in meeting the stated EHS targets and objectives in compliance with the organizational guidelines and EHS recommendations.

• Overseeing research work and policy making by analyzing barriers and assessing the EHS impact in the Tourism sector, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• Conducting inspection, audit and ensuring identified actions are taken, providing training to employees on EHS topics and ascertaining safe practices from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials for employees of the sector.
• Monitoring, tracking and consolidating data for presenting to management, preparing written, oral, tabular, and graphic reports summarizing ongoing activities for evaluating effectiveness EHS requirements based on economic and environmental topics, such as alternative fuel use, public and private land use, soil conservation, air and water pollution control, and endangered species protection, etc.
• Taking sustainable approach in tourism development by communicating pollution control regulations and inspection procedures to individuals, groups and entities.
• Providing high level strategic inputs for addressing common EHS risks identified, environmental costs/ benefits and incident accident prevention measures.
• Liaising with local authorities and agencies on EHS matters. and ensuring the proper conduction of EHS programs within the tourism industry in line with organizational ‘Best practices’.

• Supported all site construction or installations activities including; responding on safety and environment queries; incident investigation, follow-up of close-out of any actions from incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensured that the site is compliant with all regulatory and corporate HS & E requirements, validated offshore maintenance of safety equipment as per preventive plan and provided technical advice and recommendations to senior management on all safety related issues.
• Attended HAZIDs and risk assessments as required and supported the safety engineer in the preparation of the meetings and close-out of the actions arising.
• Carried out site surveys to review H&S issue, conducted Task Risk Assessment (TRA/QRA) and Environmental Risk assessment (ERA) studies to minimize risk level.
• Led HSE team in conducting Job Safety Analysis (JSA) to drastically reduce on-site accidents/incidents and successfully implemented a Cause Tree Analysis (CTA) to find out the root cause and investigate accidents and prevent recurrence.
• Administered the entire gamut of safety operations and ensured all subcontractors carry out their activities in the site using safe/approved methods and comply with company's safety requirements on Permit To Work system (PTW).
• Devised management systems and sustainable development plans for present and future perpetuity, and minimizing associated risk to both human and material.
• Developed and updated relevant site policies and procedures to ensure HSE performance compliances with ISO 14001.
Key Responsibilities - Continued:
• Created detailed reports and roll out plans charting road maps for seamless integration of HSE Management System encompassing HSE Statistics, HSE Performance, accident, incident, anomaly, stop card, investigation, inspection and audit reports.
• Revamped the overall safety look and procedures and streamlined processes for confined space entry, overseas jobs, scaffolding, Rope access, diving operation, etc.
• Developed company wide HSSE program to ensure all employees are aware of the company’s HSSE policy,
products/ services through in-house HSE trainings, technical trainings, presentations for the on site personnel.
• Scheduled and managed H&S reviews, audits, inspections effectively at work sites, audits on PTW, TRA, JSA, Hazardous substances, hot work, proper house keeping.
• Applied technical expertise in managing firefighting equipment’s like fire extinguishers, fire hydrant systems, fire monitors, Gas detectors and use of SCBA systems in addition to conducting emergency response program and evacuation drills.
• Established safe working procedures, monitored radiation, toxic fumes, explosive gas and other potential accident and health hazards.
• Introduced new concepts in risk assessments and attended departmental meetings, operational meetings, kick of meetings and provided strategic inputs on Health & Safety issues.
• Oversaw work sites for potential accident and health hazards, ensured MSDS on site. Performed visual inspection and ascertained the validity of certificates for cranes, Lifting gears and equipments prior to use on projects.
• Managed environmental and safety systems, oversaw Waste disposal Management system and Environment Protection compliance with ISO-14001 and local environmental legislation policy.
