• Assists in the development by either working independently or with a team to develop, maintain,
coordinate, and support the Eastern Municipality operation and maintenance department GIS unit, to
advance the goals of the Municipality’s mapping and reporting needs.
• Provide data, analysis, validation, maintenance, and update of GIS (spatial and attribute) data for The
Municipality transportation system, and transportation projects.
• Creating interactive dashboard to track project progress, work orders status and locations, and Visual
Pollution status and locations.
• Assists the Municipality operation and maintenance department in the development or creation of
special projects or assignments.
• Collect and analyze road data and provide maps with the recommended maintenance.
• Manage and maintain the municipality operation and maintenance department GIS data.
• Operate the Road Measurement Data Acquisition System (ROMDAS) to survey road conditions.
Assisting and managing in research projects related to environment, social, and
economic Development
· Creating maps using geographic information systems (GIS) applications
· Digitizing paper maps and aerial imagery
· Analyzing spatial data using techniques to extract, locate and analyze geographic
data.
Assisting in teaching Spatial analysis for the environment, geographic information systems for the
environment. (GIS I, GIS II, and Intro to Spatial Analysis Courses.)
· Worked one-on-one with students to help them understand and apply GIS taught by
the course’s professor.
· Help students to complete assignments and assist students who are struggling with
their work.
· Assisting students with geospatial laboratory assignments.
Monitor equipment functioning, observe temperature, level, and flow gauges, and
perform regular unit checks, to ensure that all equipment is operating as it should.
· Monitor transportation and storage of flammable and other potentially dangerous
products to ensure that safety guidelines are followed.
· Adjust temperature, pressure, vacuum, level, flow rate, and/or transfer of gas to
maintain processes at required levels or to correct problems.
· Record, review, and compile operations records, test results, and gauge readings such
as temperatures, pressures, concentrations, and flows.
