Responsibilities:-
Participating in the preparation of the internal audit plan along with the Chief Audit Executive.
Preparing and designing audit procedures according to the results of our risk assessment.
Preparing audit reports & management letters.
I have lead the auditing of the following companies:-
Travco Group International Holding (Holding company).
Travco Middle East Trading (Imports, Fifth avenue, Tiffany and Co retail stores).
Jaz for Hotels and Resorts (Hotels and resorts management company and its hotels).
Mirage for Hotels and Touristic Development (Owning company for several properties especially resorts and it provides also utilities services for several resorts in different locations in Egypt).
I have also provided recommendations for enhancing financial statements reporting for hotels and cruises sector, which added value to the hospitality sector of the group.
I have participated in the enhancement of the internal audit department methodology by inserting significant details to our risk assessment policy.
Responsibilities:-
(A) Assessment of accounting policies and procedures of my client portfolio.
(B) Testing internal control systems.
(C) Assessment of compliance with accounting standards, local & laws regulations.
(D) Auditing financial statements for multinational and major local based corporations.
I have participated in auditing IFRS and US GAAP reporting packages for Siemens Ltd Egypt.
I have participated in Egyptian Cement Company (ECC) reporting package to Holcim Belgium (ECC was an associate of Holcim Belgium).
Participated in risk management process of KPMG Hazem Hassan for more than six months, which included monitoring the following aspects:-
Professional conduct, that included adherence to KPMG global code of conduct, confidentiality, ethics, independence and conflict of interest issues.
Prospective client evaluation, client continuance, engagement evaluation, acceptance and contracting.
My Major clients in KPMG were:-
Egyptian Cement Company (Currently LaFarge Cement).
Siemens Ltd Egypt.
PGESCO & OMP (Bechtel Corporation Subsidiaries).
Mentor Graphics Egypt.
I used to participate in assurance engagements for several clients and this is a list of major clients and they are demonstrate them as follows :-
(A) Exxon Mobil Egypt.
(B) Cairo Marriott Hotel and Casino.
(C) Conrad Hotel Cairo.
(D) Al Khorafi Group.
I have tested the design and effectiveness of internal controls of our clients.
I have performed both substantive and control procedures to all my clients under of supervision of my superiors.
