Includes the design, development, testing, and maintenance of systems that integrate mechanical and electrical components.

Develop and implement test plans and procedures to ensure system performance, reliability, and safety. Analyze test data and make necessary adjustments.

Prepare detailed technical documentation, such as engineering drawings and blueprints, and maintain records of design changes and project progress.

Identify and resolve system problems using diagnostic techniques, as well as develop preventive maintenance plans to ensure long-term reliability.

Role Responsibility:
A. Perform inspection and witness the testing of various materials and equipment at site to verify compliance with company standards as per preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
B. Perform inspections based on audit plan, equipment inspection schedule and overall schedule developed for preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance.
C. Monitor maintenance work and quality system to ensure adequate performance and compliance with company quality requirements
D. Perform the required spot checks on plant maintenance PM check and repair activities on the critical electrical equipment.
E. Report any repair that requires material or design change or any engineering evaluations.
F. Conduct annual checks on electrical testing instruments, used by maintenance as per company standards.
G. Prepare cost, time and resource requirement estimates on assigned projects.
H. Prepare man-hour estimates for Electrical Maintenance Activities.
I. Schedule, report progress, and forecast Electrical Engineering activities.
J. Perform electrical calculations for short circuit, load flow, equipment sizing, cable sizing, UPS sizing.
K. Develop the design of substations, responsible for preparation of electrical one-line diagrams, control and indication schemes, and substation layout.
L. Prepare material requisitions for electrical switchgears, UPS, MCC, power transformers, distribution equipment, earthing and other electrical equipment.
M. Review Vendor’s quotations, prepare technical quotation evaluation and recommend the final technically acceptable Vendor.
N. Coordinate and liaise with other disciplines and departments.
O. Carry out technical investigations, produce technical reports, engineering standards and procedures.
P. Demonstrate sound technical knowledge, coupled with decision-making skills to ensure the timely delivery of projects.
Q. Ensure that the results of development work and experience on maintenance activities are fully utilized within the discipline (lessons learnt)
R. Perform all assigned work to agreed standards for safety, health environment and demonstrate a commitment to attaining high levels of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) performance.
S. Participate in and advise on all electrical maintenance activities and initiatives, including provision of training, inductions and documentation review.
T. Verify that all specifications are to required standards and that the objectives of the project are met.
