PRIMARY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
• Formulate, execute and develop IT strategies, plans and implement companywide the objectives of IT needs ensuring information system capabilities respond to the company objectives and business goals.
• Advise the CEO on strategic systems conversions and integrations in support of business goals and objectives.
Budget
• Prepare IT department annual budgets and ensure expenditure remains in line with the approved budget.
Policies
• Setup and enforce policies and procedures for all computer operations in the IT Department and throughout the company.
Hire
• Attract, hire, manage, develop and coach highly talented technical staff
Design & Development
• Lead the design of systems, selection, and implementation of state-of-the-art applications, architecture and establish and maintain a network infrastructure for local and wide-area connectivity and remote access.
• Advise and drive the adoption and integration of technologies that will improve the quality and efficiency of services provided.
• Ensure application software and infrastructure are reliable, secure, and can meet future growth demand.
• Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.
Procurement
• Sourcing, installing, and maintaining all hard and software and all other supplies needed to keep information systems running.
• Review and advise the CEO on major contracts for computing and IT services and equipment.
Support and Training
• Ensure efficient IT day-to-day operations, data management, infrastructure, security, and compliance for all Business Units.

• Lead and manage a geographically spread organization IT team, set a strategy, and align team objectives to deliver strong performance.
- Leads teams and schedules work on a short term basis to ensure targets are met, necessary resources are allocated, and to ensure timely delivery within budget.
- Continuously coach the team in order to improve their technical and behavioural performance.

- Acts as a technical reference point for all the team members in area of specialty in order to give them the right technical support.

- Evaluate vendor proposals for purchases of hardware, software, communication and storage devices and advice the IT manager to get the optimum quality-cost proposal.
- Coordinate with the IT manager and contribute to the development of the IT strategy that could support on-going and projected business activities.
- Prepare specification for RFQs
- Experience and knowledge of (SharePoint, MS Exchange, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, Web Hosting, MS SQL, XenApp, Firewall, Proxy, SCCM, EPM, TFS, DC, DNS, DHCP …etc.)

- XenApp 6 Installation, administration and troubleshooting.
- Install & Configure Symantec Endpoint suite edition.
- Install Symantec products & define best practice policies in Symantec System Center. Deploy Symantec Security in Workstations & Servers.
- Backup and recovery of server data, resources and equipment.
- Prepares and maintains documentation and technical reports.
- Works with other technical support specialists and team members to ensure optimum desktops and servers network environment performance, security, and availability.
