I have been assigned to the Schlumberger Special Projects team formed to handle projects related to migrating Business Application to the Public & Private Cloud.
The following are the responsibilities that I was handling:
• Responsible for the project plan, risk management, scheduling and communication in relation to business application migration from current data center to Public/Private cloud
• Gather requirements, create software architecture design, handle and record all integration and eventually migrate business application in the new data center (Azure, Google Cloud, and Atos private Cloud)
• Conduct application assessment and readiness evaluation of business application to move to Public or Private Cloud
• Responsible for knowledge management and sharing of lessons learned with project stakeholders
Key Accomplishments:
Reduced costs more than $440, 000+ annually by introducing a cost saving initiative related to Data Center operations for server backups and URL monitoring from the Data Center vendor
Spearheaded an initiative for continues improvement of a Change and Release process for HR Web Applications, resulting in reducing deployment time, reducing costs associated with the number of resources, and achieving 100% success of all deployments to date with 0% need for rollbacks
Led a project for the evaluation HR Web Application readiness to move to cloud; currently preparing a plan for the migration to private cloud, which would result in 30% cost reduction
Job Responsiblities:
- Directly responsible for the IT Support of data center activities related to 20 Schlumberger Business web application that utilize technologies such as .NET, Java, SAP, ColdFusion, Oracle, IIS, Tomcat, and Windows Server
- Planning the migration of HR & Treasury Web Application to the cloud that encompasses assisting in technical design, security hardening, and application migration
- Manage incidents including re-prioritizing, reassigning, escalating, and resolving issues
- Participate in and coordinate the Problem Management Process
- Report application performance and approve release readiness in pre/post-production
- Guide the communication between IT Manager, Technical Delivery Team, Development Team, and the Atos Data Center
Key Accomplishments:
Directly responsible for saving nearly 100 working hours monthly for IT Support by creating a SharePoint Application that automate the creation of Bulk Tickets in BMC Remedy
Created and led the Global Service Desk Proactive Initiatives team, resulting in successfully achieving the objective of completing seven initiatives that reduced the Service Desk load by 5% and ensured the achievement of Schlumberger IT Operation security matrix
Mentored 10 Service Desk Analysts to achieve KPIs with excellent quality and improved their efficiency, which resulted in an outstanding yearly performance rating
Significantly improved the Service Desk response time and KPI achievements by leading a project to change the Service Desk interaction distribution between three Service Desks in Bogota, Jakarta, and Dubai

- Led and mentored a team of 10 IT Service Desk Analysts
- Generated reports on SLA compliance, service desk metrics, and IT assets
- Performed quarterly and yearly employee performance evaluations
- Ensured the smooth daily operations of the IT Service Desk that covered all Schlumberger employees and IT resources in Middle East, Europe, and Africa
- Executed problem solving on software and hardware issues and escalated issues to the relevant resource

In addition to the above, In 2012 I was selected to be the first Service Desk employee to spend 4 Months in a short term assignment with our IT office in Bogota, Colombia

Download forms (technical, printer, VPN guide etc…).
Access webmail and staging application.
View latest office news and announcement.
Check the company servers and server’s ports status.
Control every aspect of the intranet application (CRUD admin page)
Upon completion of the internship, I delivered the Java web application to inSynchro and recieved positive feedback on the use of complex Java concepts such as multithreading. The company continued to use the application in their intranet network.
