Challenge started the first week, the goal set by me and I managed to achieve it later on. the goal was for improvement of the system and ensure the processes are running smoothly and effectively, And that was done by conducting negotiation with transportation companies, regarding rates or service levels; supervision of the preparation of the concerned documents, reviewing invoices and custom documents. looked into and resolve issues with suppliers, customers, transportation companies or employees high coordinating with the schedulers and planners, our plan was include the below points
• Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency and establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement systems and put the Design models for use in evaluating logistics programs or services.
• Create policies or procedures for logistics activities and Train department personnel in roles or responsibilities regarding global logistics strategies.
• Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.
• Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues.
• Participate in carrier management processes, such as selection, qualification, or performance evaluation and Ensure the carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery and Negotiate transportation rates or services
• Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
• Negotiate transportation rates or services.
• Supervise the work of logistics specialists, planners, or schedulers.
• supervision for Preparing certification applications that may be required
• Negotiate with agents or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
• Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
• Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
• coordinate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
• Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
• Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
• Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective or efficient means of transporting products or supplies.
• Communicate freight transportation information to customers or suppliers, using transportation management, electronic logistics marketplace, or electronic freight information systems, to improve efficiency, speed, or quality of transportation services.
• Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities.
• Conduct or review the audits for logistics activities, such as storage, distribution, or transportation.

Duties

 Researching and assembles information from a variety of sources for the preparation of reports and correspondence for the Executive Director; organizing and maintaining office files, filing systems and document retention.
 Independent assembles data, creates reports, letters, memorandum, spreadsheets and charts; review for clarity and agency conformity and suggest/making corrections to drafts;
 Receiving and screening communications to the Executive Director and Commissioners including telephone calls, email messages, and providing assistance using independent judgment to determine those requiring priority attention, prioritizes and facilitates communications from department heads, local, state and federal departments and elected officials; reviewing and evaluating mail to identify those items requiring priority attention of the Executive director;
 Receiving, composing and reviewing correspondence and communication for signature of the Executive Director;
 Transmitting instructing, assignment, and decisions of the Executive Director to department heads and other agency staff; providing follow up and status reports on assignments to the Executive Director
 Maintaining appointments and coordinating the scheduling of meetings for the Executive Director and Commissioners, arranges and confirms meetings and coordinate functions;
 Making travel arrangements for the Executive Director and Commissioners;
 Scheduling and preparing agendas and summaries for regular and committee meetings of the Board of Commissioners;
 Attending Board meetings, and taking official minutes of the board and committee meetings; preparing minutes and notices, preparing documents for recording, prepares public hearings notices and maintaining board files and records;
 Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the performance of staff, establishes performance and monitor performance and provides coaching for performance improvement and development;
 Performing required administrative support to R&M Joint Venture Projects
