Joined Takreer Ruwais Refinery Division on the 1st of June to work as an Automation & Network Engineer that majorly highlights network, security and database maintenance and development goals (as part of company’s KPI). Below is a brief field of experience:
- Being able to work as a team leader in networking and system security
- Work with various electronic devices such as transistors, converters, transmitters, valves, controllers, fieldbus modules and power stations
- Work with high stability, high capacity systems that require precise and live feed of data
- Manage and develop maintenance procedures (PM or CM) in order to achieve system stability
- Participate in various sessions and meetings in project management field
- Introduced the idea of implementing a Cyber Security policy to be carried out in a more serious matter officially
- Work on day and night (oncall) basis depending on task criticality (availability of system is priority 1)
- Network architecture design and documentation
- Carry out team interviews relevant to our section’s job requirements
- Carry out presentations for management and employees to provide sufficient awareness in Cyber Security and its impact in industry business
- Being selected as the company’s candidate to perform and attend Cyber Security meetings, conferences and workshop across ADNOC sub-companies
- Carry out tasks related to electronic network in contrast to enterprise network in maintenance point of view
- CCNA, CCNP, CCVP equivalent on job experience
- Carry out procedures and documents related to on job activities
- Initiate and develop presentations relevant to employee safety during work
- Carry out tasks related to network protocols, switches, routers and wireless technologies
- Carry out troubleshooting of live system issues and develop a procedure to overcome it
- Carry out design, configuration and maintenance services related to company’s datacenter
GAL mainly supports UAE’s Presidential Special Guard Command with the latest technologies. I have experienced a number of qualities of different specialities. Here is a list of departments that I was involved with:
- Network department: indoor and outdoor networking tasks, testing cables, computer configuration, switches installation.
- Security department: Cisco security switches configuration, Mcafee epolicy management, Active Directory & Internet Access management.
Maintenance department: Software backup & recovery, hardware maintenance, warehouse management, hardware supplimentary stock monitoring.
