Participated in various mega projects in a range of US $ 200 Million to US$ 3 billion, Experienced in various stages of project execution starting from the proposal stage and man-hour estimate through conceptual study / design, Front-End Engineering (FEED), detailed Engineering projects and EPC projects. Have sufficient experiences in Construction supervision, commissioning and start-up activities particularly for oil & gas plants and power stations.
Duties as PM
As a project manager my duties cover full responsibility in all project stages till achieving project success in terms of high quality, all HSE aspects, within time and allocated budget.
Act as a focal point between company and successful contractor/consultant for all official correspondences and meetings between company and contractor/consultant.
Lead a project team consists of complete PMC organization (team leader, engineering manager, HSE manager, planning/contract manager, procurement manager, QA/QC manager, etc.), company disciplines engineers and project contractor engineers as well as plant end user representatives. Min. 20 persons.
Liaise and coordinate with other project managers inside and outside GASCO for all interface issues.
Liaise with local authorities for NOCs (non- objection certificates) and other work permits.
Member of project steering committee (PSC) for regular PSC meetings/updating to company senior management, ADNOC and shareholders (SHELL, TOTAL & PARTEX).
Review and approve project progress report and monthly payment.
Provide advices and assistances to the project senior manager (SPM) in all related project management aspects.
Resolve any contractual disputes and problems between contractor/consultant and company.
Participated in ADIPEC (Abu Dhabi international petroleum exhibition and conferences) to present GASCO approach of H5 plant standardizations among various EPC contractors, technical paper has been published by ADIPEC organization.
During bidding phase, responsible for company official responses to bidders clarifications and bidders exceptions/deviations, prepare/issue company final technical evaluation report/scoring.
Duties as EM
Direct, coordinate and maintain the effectiveness of all project engineering deliverables including procedures, documents, drawings and status reports and manage all discipline engineers activities in support of these operations.
Lead a project engineering team consists of all disciplines engineers, particularly Process, mechanical, electrical, civil, I&C, HSE, etc. Around 10 engineers.
Supervise and ensure the proper incorporation and updating of company comments by EPC contractor and ensuring implementation of project contract requirements.
Direct coordinate and handling all design concessions, technical queries, material approval, field design changes of various disciplines.
Coordinate and review vendor documents and vendor performance evaluation in collaboration with the concerned procurement staff
Liaise and interface with projects manager/staff and other company end user staff and technical division for enhancing engineering quality and considering their comments.
Review and approve contractor’s monthly engineering progress and its related payment.
Lead all regular engineering and HSE review meetings arranged by the EPC contractor such as weekly engineering meetings, 3 D model review, HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, alarm management, SAFOP, design review meetings, etc.
Coordinate the final decision on the resolution of any generic and specific contractual/technical disputes in collaboration with the concerned functional/end user engineers.
Worked in Engineering division, participated in most of Technip Major Projects.
Participated in various major projects and minor projects in a range of few Million US$ to few billion US$, including conceptual design, FEED and EPC jobs.
Duties
Prepared/issued all the Electrical deliverables, including :
• All studies, Power distribution studies, Short circuit, Load Flow and motor starting studies.
• Compressor selection studies including the driver selection.
• Electrical Drawings: earthing layouts, lighting layouts and power layouts
• Key Single Line Diagrams. 132 kV GIS, 33kV GIS, 11 kV & 415 V detailed Single Line Diagrams.
• Electrical Hazardous Area Classification drawings.
• Substation equipment layout.
• Electrical Specification and Data Sheets:
• 33 kV GIS, 11 kV & 415 V switchgear specifications.
• Variable speed drives system specification.
• AC UPS and DC UPS.
• Bulk material specifications.
• Participating in the Technical evaluation cycle and selection of EPC contractor.
• Participation of the Technical evaluation cycle of the Long Lead Items mainly the Compressors. This included the VSDS systems (input transformers, Frequency converters and Motors) for Injection compressors, MP compressors and LP Compressors.
• Witnessed factory acceptance test (FAT) for most of electrical main equipment (GIS SWG, Generators, MV SWG, MV motors, UPS, etc.)
• Performing the necessary coordination between GASCO and ADWEA/TRANSCO(Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority) regarding the main 220 kV power supply.
• Performing the necessary coordination and review activities of all the documents submitted by ADWEA consultants and Gasco consultants/contractor.
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer, I have done the following :
Preparation of general specification and Electrical equipment specifications & data sheets.
Electrical distribution, electrical system calculations.
Participation in on electrical packages specifications.
Vendor print review and approval of electrical & relevant system.
Inter discipline co-ordination for technical interfaces.
Installation details & specifications for grounding, lighting & power system.
Preparation of electrical key drawings (single line diagram and hazardous area classification).
Non industrial buildings electrical layouts (lighting, cables, earthing etc.)
Cabling : Sizing layouts, sections, cable schedules, up to construction issue.
Lighting : Calculation, plans, block diagram, lighting panel schedules, up to construction issue.
Substation equipment layout & cable arrangement.
Grounding calculation layouts, installation details, up to construction issue.
Prepare and issue schematics and wiring diagram as well as interconnection diagram showing the interfaces with control panels.
Preparation of Electrical monitoring and control spec. (PLC and SCADA).
Design and issue electrical power and control design basis.
Design and issue lighting protections layouts.
Preparation of Electrical construction tender package.
Purchasing:
Issue the material requisitions for electrical equipment & material.
Technical evaluation, for electrical equipment offers.
Preparation technical bid tabulation.
Supplier pre-award & clarification meeting participation.
Issue the technical part of purchase order (P.O) & MRP.
