Job Description: Present Duties:
• Dealing with Direct and Indirect Tax compliance.
• Prepared and managed all Sales Tax inspections for the company activities
“facilities managements and hospitalities activity”.
• Prepare defense memos and the supported documents to be submitted to the
Sales Tax appeal committee.
• Prepare VAT returns and reviewing the accuracy of the discount presented.
• Applied the VAT on all transactions and study all cases to apply the correct
tax implementations.
• Participate in the dialogue sponsored by the government to reach the current
implemented VAT law and made recommendations.
• Raised awareness and give sessions about the VAT to the rest of the
company's sections to reach an understanding about the correct
implementations of the new law.
• Answering all colleagues, suppliers and inquiries about the VAT and
following-up with the tax research department about debated cases.
• Review the submissions for tax assessments and audits and represent before
the Tax Authorities.
• Effectively manage relationship with Tax Authorities and coordinate
compliance with them.
• Ensure compliance with the Egyptian Accounting Standards and tax laws
documentation requirements.
• Ensure that correct and efficient positions are adopted in the tax returns with
the support of outside counsels and advisers, wherever applicable.
• Assist financial reporting with determining the tax impact of unusual
transactions including deferred tax analysis in the financial statement as per
the Egyptian accounting standers as well as the IFRS.
• Maintain communication with the outside auditing firm’s tax and audit team
on tax accounting issues and interim/year-end close process.
• Provide technical guidance on foreign tax issues.
• Planning the tax provisions for future tax liabilities.
• Manage with finance staff to document and support all significant reporting.
• Support the group on transfer pricing documentation.
• Seek external tax advice with Tax Advisory on more complex cases.
• Support the implementation of tax compliant and tax efficient processes
within the company.
• Develop and communicate tax law changes and amendments to the company.
• Develop and implement tax efficient structures and processes for Emaar
operations.
• Support and guide Finance and control in all tax issues arising in reporting,
special development projects, invoicing.
• Identify and manage tax risk and optimal tax model of Emaar’s operations.
• Supports operations in the planning process, setting up new operations, and in
the reviewing of supplier contracts.
• Frequent contact with same level managers and/or customer representatives
concerning projects, scheduling, contracts, operations and solving queries in
timely manner.
• Supervise and manage tax information reporting and tax status reports to
CEO.
• Assist team members in extracting data from Oracle systems and implement
changes required in Oracle for executing various task under tax laws.

local tax regulation and international tax treaties.

• Prepare tax reports; Ensure conformance with laws and regulations Updating
and assessing the results of the annual internal control self-assessment

• Supervising the client’s tax inspection process through a group of follow
