Responsible for Finance, IT & Treasury
Served as the Acting Director for the Group Risk Management responsible for enterprise risk management, credit, market and operational risks identification, assessment, measurement, mitigation and reporting.
Was also responsible for External Rating Agencies and briefing the external board on quarterly basis, advising management on adhoc risk issues, etc.
Started off as a Senior Risk Management Specialist in 2008 and promoted to Manager within first year. Was responsible for Operational & Market Risk covering IDB and funds under management in excess of USD 10 billion.
Also responsible for managing external rating agencies interaction for the 'AAA' rating from the 3 international rating agencies.
Undertook internal audit assignments in finance, treasury, operations financing and accounting domains .
Responsible for full planning, execution and reporting on assignments as well as following up on implementation of audit recommendations.
Completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting, Taxation, Audit and Management Accounting at the top university in Durban.
Completed Bachelors Degree with first time pass in all subjects at top university in Durban.
