Attending trade fairs, in Canada and overseas, to select and assemble a new collection of products. Ensure seasonal buying budget is respected and in-line with established targets. Monitor and analyze product performance using internal reports. Work in close collaboration with planning to forecast sales, markdowns and react accordingly. Follow-up action plan and Monitor competition ongoing basis. Work in collaboration with other functions (marketing and visual merchandising) to build and implement the seasonal calendar of activities.
Managed GAP Ink Brands (GAP, Banana Republic & Old Navy) Managed Merchandising Team, consisting of 2 merchandisers and two allocators, the main area of responsibility analyzing Saudi market, competitor activities and historical sales performance to maximize sales and planning the next selections. Management and development of successful business relations with the existing brand partners. Stores visits to check up on the Stock level, measure brand performance through different KPI’s to identify weakness and set required action plan
• Distribute the stock to be made based on the shop budget & requirement.
• Weekly inventory to be taken for local items for re-ordering.
• Consignments to be prioritized based on the floor requirement & Instruct warehouse accordingly to keep it ready.
• Consolidation of stocks between shops on weekly basis based on the sales & broken lines.
• Ensure the consolidated stock reaches the respective shop with in a limited period.
• Ensure non moving & slow moving stocks doesn’t occupy the retail space.
• Weekly visits to shops ensuring the consolidation of stock are well executed.
• Follow up with Jibel Ali on the forthcoming consignments & consignment in transit to update the shops accordingly.
• Thorough knowledge of monthly & season budgets for the shops, department and brands.
• Weekly & Monthly review of Dept. performance and drawing up plan for under achievement.
• Independently drawing up season purchase / sale budgets, keeping in mind the store growth plan & market conditions.
• Constantly monitor ageing stocks, ensure old stocks doesn’t exceeds the agreed percentage
• Sales & promotions are well planned for clearing the old stocks
• Reviewing local supplier’s performance & advice corrective actions on slow selling items.
• Fortnightly generate a report on >1 year old stock shop wise, for Toys, Basic & N/F & make sure that they are under clearance & shift to the location where they are selling better
• Measure brand performance through different KPI’s to identify weakness and set required action plan.
• Plan promotions and markdown; Work closely with the brand team to achieve the sales targets.
• Perform regular market and competition analysis to identify strength and weakness.
• Well aware of the changing Market trends & future demand
•Handling all Procedures in regard to purchase all Selected items for our brands from England(Pumpkin Patch, Adams) Portugal(Ziddy Kids)and France(Sergent Major, Tapealoil) As well as Supervising on Distributing all items to Different Stores and then Generating the quotation master file for all items in accordance with upper management staff and our international Partners.
•Attending annual conference meeting of some brands to review upcoming market needs.
•Determining pricing for incoming stock based on competitors’ survey and the Intake Margin that will start the season.
•Following up with different parties regarding received shipments on time and Follow up all payment of shipments process also, Handling all issues for the incoming stock till display the goods in stores.
•Decide on the launch of the new season stock and the phases there of to follow and understand continuity lines and keep record of the stock volumes and sales of the same.
•Agree with the management on the amount of discounts to be given out during a season.
•Decide on the periods for sale, promotions and any other activities for the brand.
•Observe weekly sales activities to conclude required course of actions that improve the figures.
•Create weekly stock and sales report for the management; make sale file and further markdown file.
•Determining the business plan Set for the targeted brand which is assigned to be achieved in the end of every season
