1. Assist the permit coordinator to manage the PTW as required by the permit to work procedures.
2. Provide input to the site specific safety program and aid in the implementation and monitoring of the program.

4. Aid operations, maintenance and contractors personnel in meeting the requirements of safe work practices. Checking
work areas to ensure all requirements are met and that the
Safe Work Practices are followed.
5. Performing inspections and routine maintenance on safety
equipment to ensure that the required safety equipment is
available on site. Informs the Operation Safety
Superintendent In a timely manner of potential equipment
shortfalls.
6. Daily visual inspection for portable and fixed fire fighting
equipments (fire trucks, portable fire pump, semi fixed and fixed foam systems)
7. Prepare and execute training drills for the shift members
including Emergency Response Team.
8. Follow up on all safety concerns to completion,
recommending corrective action where recommended by the operation safety superintendent or by the area authorities through the incident reports.
9. Witness the routine tests of fire fighting equipments and maintenance records.
10. Report to the Shift Manager occurrences where safety
requirements are not being met and recommends corrective
action (safety 1st cards)
11. Conduct training on the shift duty about the use of emergency resources ( self contained breathing apparatus, fire
suits, hydrants, fire water monitors, automated fire protection
system)
12. Maintain logs required by the local authorities & by the HSE procedures.
13. Study and conduct the risk assessment in plants.
14. Supervise monitoring of the fire and gas panel and manage the response to any fire or gas alarms.
15. Daily inspection for near miss cases and report substandard
notices.
16. Lead the Emergency Response ERP Team and ensure
readiness at all times.
17. Dealing with and inspect all types of cranes, scaffolds,
ladders, Electrical Equipments, and all Potential hazards of construction sites.
18. Giving training in both languages (Arabic & English) daily,
weekly and monthly.
