My job role is that of a financial counterpart of the Distribution and Supply chain department acting as a support function to assist in, resolve, monitor and control all financial related operations. Core activities pertaining to the role are;

• Monitoring of CWIP and other assets / liabilities pertaining to distribution department ensuring timely transfer of CWIP to relevant fixed assets through capitalization process.

• Planning and estimation of material budget requirements in liaison with user department by preparing consolidated forecasts through analyzing current and past consumption.

• Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations.
• Prepare and finalize CAPEX and REVEX budgets for the distribution department and submit report of cash flows for approval.
• Analyze and present monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls.

• Preparing various MIS reports using SAP Material Management and FICO module as an end user.

• Monitoring of stock position of distribution materials through SAP in order to meet the department’s scheduled and ad-hoc material requirements.

• Perform cost benefit analysis of received vendor quotations and review of purchase approval summaries and related documents in accordance with approved purchase requisitions.

 Supervision, training, professional mentoring and development of the subordinates;
 Imparting appropriate directions and professional review of the performed work of subordinates;
 Effective planning and execution of assignments to meet stringent deadlines;
 Liaising with and developing cordial working relationships with the client to deliver engagement expectations;
 Co-ordination with other professionals experts like legal, banking, actuarial IT experts; and
 Acting as a point of contact in the firm for audit related queries from the clients.

 Job planning and supervision, including close liaison with client's management;
 Conducting business and audit risk assessment through client meetings, industry-specific research, market analysis and cumulative audit knowledge;
 Ensuring compliance of International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), International Standards of Auditing (ISA)and Code of Ethics issued by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) as adopted by the ICAP;
 Assisting clients in preparation of Financial Statements in accordance with the financial reporting framework applicable in and directives of relevant regulatory authorities;
 Evaluating system of internal control and risk management procedures, identifying control weaknesses and suggesting appropriate best practices to client management and /or those charged with governance;
 Providing ongoing advisory services to clients regarding compliance with Corporate Laws & Secretarial Practices including Code of Corporate Governance; and
 Supervising the progress of audit including consultations on difficult or contentious matters, resolution of differences of professional judgment amidst and addressing significant accounting and auditing questions raised during the audit.
