By reporting to HSSE manager the job purpose is to support the group crisis management
and risk management practice to ensure that Dana gas Egypt and JV companies are assessing
the security threats and risks to people, assets, operating infrastructure and reputation in a
proper way to get them in a position to respond proactively.
Identify and evaluate potential threats, risks, and emerging issues (violence, crime,
military/civil/political unrest or instability, terrorist activity, protest actions, disease,
medical service conditions, etc.) to area/region security and safety conditions in order to
advise and support employee and business travel and operational decisions.
Develop and help implement travel and asset security strategies that allow the Company
to maintain essential operations and achieve its business goals.
Develop and maintain general security policies and practices that effect physical security,
access security, document security, information security, and workplace security.
Conduct site security assessments for all company locations such as offices, bases,
workshops, remote location, housing compounds, hotels.
Conduct manpower reviews and manage man guarding personnel and contracts for
physical protection of the Company`s facilities.
Establish an appropriate liaison with peer-position mangers in local companies that
operate in the oil and gas industry, as well as with local, state, and national security
agencies that are involved with security and business continuity matters that relate to the
Company’s essential operations.
Conduct security investigations, produce investigation reports in order to inform the
business of incident details and assist in the identification of appropriate solutions to
identified problems.
Manage outsourced 3rd party agencies in order to provide information that enables the
delivery of security proactively.
Manage the allocated security budget effectively and efficiently in accordance with
policies and procedures.
Create, review and maintain business journey management procedures and practices.
Develop, implement, and maintain a crisis management policy and incident response
plans.
Conduct crisis management training as required to ensure all appropriate personnel are
familiar with the policy and can react appropriately in a real-world crisis.
Manage the set up and maintenance of crisis management facilities and communications.
Work with HSE, Facilities, and the business units to develop emergency preparedness
plans to support business continuity planning.
• Responsible for all Travel Security procedures for FLSmidth employees on board
• Assess prevailing local security conditions and evaluate the Alert Level Triggers and proposing the change of the Alert Level
• Establishing and owning the internal communication systems (SMS, regular meetings etc)
• Send a weekly security awareness`s report about overall security situation within Egypt associated with security advice required.
• Regular briefings to employees about security related matters and provide security welcome briefing for the new comers.
• Prepare draft of the security plan, fire-fighting plan and emergency action plans.
• Conduct day to day threat and risk assessments of company`s operations and assets in the districts and regions where company`s projects are implemented.
• Conducts annual review of country security plan to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinates all departmental activities including but not limited to; security operations manual, emergency response manual, maintain all security related applications.
• Controlling and operating the CCTV System over the head office
• Ensures full coverage of all posts and positions with fully qualified and trained personnel.
• Supervise subordinates under my control to ensure that the security integrity is maintained.
• Prepare publications to increase security awareness within the company to reduce the security problems.
• Conduct security audits to determine security needs.
• Work closely with the IT section to ensure the implementation and maintenance of all technically related matters that are necessary for a secure IT network.
• Collation and dissemination of information related matters which affect the security of FLS employees working in Egypt.
• Liaison with Security Response Team to ensure they have the most up to date information to base decisions on
• Training and developing the competencies of the Security Plan key roles, persons and company`s drivers.
• Oversees the design and development of security training courses for security Staff.
• Coordinating the defensive driving courses for company`s drivers
• Ensure that fire detection devices and fire-fighting equipment are available in places according to the plan.
• Owns and leads the Security Procedures: 1. Satellite Phones 2. Journey Management 3. Money Transfer 4. Host Person guidelines 5. Walky Talky (License, Inventory)
• Investigates security related incidents to establish incident control and prepare a security alert with the lessons learned.
• Establishing communication channels with key security stakeholders (local law enforcement, emergency response agencies and local community where company projects are implemented and Participate and support in Client Related security request
• Highlights the requirements of the operating and capital budgets for security section and makes recommendation to Dept Manager.

• Provide continues travel security advice for all FLS employees who are travelling to and from Egypt.

• Commanding and controlling a field unit and combined armed companies and company-sized units (100-200 Soldiers).
• Directs training, administration, supply, maintenance, transportation, and security activities of military units and personnel for both tactical and law enforcement operations.
• Prepares plans, policies and regulations pertaining to organization, training, operations, and equipment of military units and personnel for both tactical and law enforcement operations.
• Coordinating employment of field soldiers at all levels of command, from company to division level and beyond.
• Developing doctrine, organizations and equipment for unique field missions.
• Motivating and leading subordinates to achieve objectives, often in difficult and dangerous conditions.
• Managing physical security of military equipment, military facilities and lines of communication.
• Identify and analyze threats and vulnerabilities with recommendation on how to mitigate these threats.

• Selected to participate in the Egyptian Armed protection troops to protect Suez Canal from any terrorist attack during Iraq`s war from 2002 to 2003.
• Selected to participate in exchange visitor programs between Egyptian Military Academy and King Abd EL Aziz Military College in 1998.
