A)as a payable accounts i am responsible of following up with payments, due balances and credit payments. as a result of working in foreign payables i am coordinating with company's clearing agent at the port to clear the imported shipments as soon as it reach the port, also i am costing these shipment when it reach our warehouses. no such effort is made in the local payable side.
B)as a receivables accounts i keep on reviewing the due balances on customers and keep channels open with the sales department to advice whether which customer has exceeded his allowable credit limit f sales or not, also im providing the monthly bad debts and providing the FM with the status of each customer.
C)as a bank accounts i advised the FM to adopt the online payment process instead of the manual transfers that consume a lot of time and effort and following the are my tasks as a bank accountant 1) monitoring all bank transaction on real time biases at all banks with different currencies and informing the AR for any credit transactions since i am responsible of the debit transactions, 2) making the monthly bank reconciliation for all banks and currencies totaling 8 bank accounts. 3) negotiate with the bank to buy foreign currencies with proper exchange rate.
D)Preparation of monthly accruals and prepaid accounts.
E)Finally i am the payroll administrator at the company and i am the one who advised our FM to pay the salaries directly to the staff bank accounts using online banking instead of cash.
