Senior Process Engineer (Gas production department):Responsible for all engineering activities on the North Field Alpha (NFA) Offshore Installation and the Khuff and NFIS facilities at Dukhan onshore installation. The main goal is to provide comprehensive engineering solutions to any departmental Gas Production facilities having any technical problems and to suggest engineering improvements to increase the safety integrity, lessen any environmental impact and optimize the use of company assets. Main responsibilities are:· Investigate and provide a comprehensive cost effective solution to any Requests for Technical Support (RTS) received from the Gas Production Operations Divisions. · Liaise with Gas Production Operations to provide sound technical recommendations which result in the improved utilization of company assets by implementing Plant Change Requests (PCR). · Prepare detailed Engineering Scopes of Work for any new projects, modifications or improvements submitted for tender. · Provide technical supervision and project management for any engineering-related contracts. · Review any materials queries of a technical nature. · Provide general engineering support for all gas production facilities as and when required. · Maintain the most advanced software to support the technical functions of the Department.

Experience Summary:
Senior process eng. in petrochemical complex:
•Detailed involvement in conceptual unit simulation, equipment selection, safety elaboration, bid inquiries, order placing, comment and approval of vendors drawing, familiar with basic international codes and standards.
•Provide Process Eng. support for site operations. Review, approve and provide process input to Plant Modification Requests. Develop / update PFD and P & IDs for site modifications. Provide technical support to other Disciplines within Asset Teams and act as Process technical authority within Asset.
•Utilized the standard industrial simulation packages such as Hysis for steady state simulation & modeling, HTC-STX (shell and tube heat exchanger design and rating program), Pipe Flow, and other commonly used software’s.
•Provide technical support to other Disciplines within Asset Teams and act as process technical authority within Asset.
•Prepare and provide process input to Engineering Packages for small projects (concept-to-commissioning) developed within Asset Engineering.
•Prepare or provide input to statement of requirement and scope of work for minor and major projects.
•Interface with draughting team for development of Process Drawings.
•Regular contacts with personnel in Plant Engineering Division, Operation Department, corporate planning as well as asset relevant team members.
•Regular contacts with Contractor’s personnel at equivalent level to follow-up implementation of work programs according to approved standards.
•Works according to Company established policy, procedures, approved work programs and professional eng. standards.
•Exercises latitude during off-normal working hours / emergencies.
•Pre-qualifications of consultants, contractors, materials manufacturers and equipment designers and fabricators.
•Develop / update PFD and P& IDs for site modifications. requests
•Reviews operating manuals, process drawings, data sheets etc. for comments.

Process Engineering Division Head:
• Lead, follow & control process engineering division engineers activities including utilities, Refinery, Ethylene & Polyethylene units activities.
• Plan and develop the process engineering organization chart.
• Attends the technical services department meeting.
• Allocate work to process engineers specialist and lead process engineers as necessary, review & approve the results of their work with them.
• Ensure continuity and reliability of work within the division
• Suggest work for studies plant improvements.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports on process engineering activities and prepare the division objective.
• Liaises with process engineers specialist and the lead process engineers to improve the standard of process engineering activities.
• Review further education/ training requirements of supervised engineers
• Lead inter-division meetings and attend meetings with outside authorities, contractors and vendors to discuss technical matters.
• Liaises with other department and disciplines to resolve problems of common interest.
• Suggest and recommend the training programs to improve the process engineering work.

Process Engineering specialist for Ethylene & polyethylene units:
• Follow Ethylene & Polyethylene units activities.
• Ethylene & Polyethylene plant economic evaluation & optimization.

• Liaises with division head and process engineer to improve the standard of process engineering activities.

• Attend inter-division meeting and meeting with outside authorities, contractors and vendors to discuss technical matters relating to ethylene & polyethylene units.
• Liaises with other department and disciplines to resolve problems of common interest.
• Can occupy or deputize for following positions within process engineering division organization chart: division head, lead process engineer and process engineer I, II & III.
• Prepare and holds educational sessions for process engineers and others as required.
• Suggest the technical studies to be carried by process engineers for improving plant operation and maximize its profit.
• Follow up the upgrade of process technology and make recommendation to implement it when necessary.
• Liaises with division head and lead process engineer to suggest the software & programs for process engineering work improvement.
• Produce / supervise work for plant improvement studies.
• Feed stock evaluation i.e. naphtha / mixed C4’s co-cracking & polyethylene products grades specification improvement...
