Zero Waste had interested into a consortium with EDFR for developing Green Fuel Alliance “GFA” project in Egypt
GFA had interned into Framework agreement with Egyptian Government for development of mega green ammonia project based on renewable power supply
GFA pilot phase project is 150 Kton per annum of green ammonia (electrolysers, ammonia syntheses and utilities & offsites) with its associated renewable power generation facility (PV and Wind)
Role and achievement
1. Project contractual role : complete the development and negotiation of Project Framework Agreement with relevant competent authorities
2. Project Configuration: managed the energy optimization study with the technical consultant for the optimum project configuration targeting minimum Levelized Cost of Ammonia
3. Project Design :
• Supervised the development of the project Pre-Feed
• Implement innovative solution for handling ammonia during early production aiming minimize capex by 20%
• Determine the integration requirements and consideration of both Renewable energy sources and ammonia plant.
• Identify the areas of improvement for consideration during FEED
4. Project Compliance with Green certificate : Managed the technical audit of project design to assure project compliance with green certificate, RED II, and identified potential opportunity to increase production
5. Offtake Strategy :
• Conceptualized the storage, handling and export cargo size based on market demand
• Aided the negotiation progress with potential offtaker
6. Project tendering : Performed and lunched different of Request for Proposals for variety of services including but not limited to Technical advisory, green compliance auditor, Project management consultant and EPC LSTK tender

Tahrir Petrochemical Complex is a new world-scale Naphtha Cracker & Olefins Complex being under development in Suez Canal Area, Egypt

The Project Scope extended to include downstream derivatives of polyethylene, polypropylene, ethyl benzene and styrene monomer production plant.
 Implement robust development plans for projects, with appropriate change control processes to ensure timely and successfully completion of each project.
 Perform assessment of business opportunities and alternatives of different component of the petrochemical cluster to promote the overall project feasibility.
 Manage, liaise and direct different projects’ EPCs activities to ensure that project Lenders requirements are met for securing project’s funding.
 Engage with key partners such as the EPC Contractors, Lenders advisors, main project vendors to optimize project configuration in terms of Cpex., Opex, reliability and availability.
 Negotiate, review and approve project contract schedules for the EPC Contractors (Linde, TCM, Bechtel and Archirodon) to ensure that the project needs are satisfied and Lenders requirements are met.
 Support the development, with colleagues, of the project contracts.
 Negotiate with stakeholders such as communities, governmental authorities, lenders to secure the necessary inputs to the project.
 Provide technical support for project review, Due diligences and associated inquiries from project’s Lenders (USEXIM, UKF & OPIC).
 Acting as Development Manager for the following project’s areas:-
1. Project Offsites : Port Area and constitute of water desalination plant, Jetty, tank farm & refrigeration packages
 Directing the Request for Proposal Package.
 Optimizing Jetty and tank farm configuration, by conducting facility utilization analysis that led to saving in capital.
 Managing the interface between water desalination vendor (Suez) and EPC contractor, Contribute to desalination plant configuration.
 Study alternative solution.
2. Owner Scope of Work : (Owner buildings, Site preparation, communication system)
 Directing the design package configuration with PMC.
 Owner Scope Budgetary (issuing RFQ, review proposals, Negotiate vendors).
 Working capital budgeting, time schedule and operational requirements.
3. Ethylbenzene Styrene Monomer Unit:
 Managing TPC team and Licensor to achieve Timely complete the process design Package (PDP)with the project licensor (CB&I).
4. Solid Waste Management and Handling,
 Quantitative and qualitative assessment for hazardous waste that expected to be generated during normal operation.
 Identify the legalizations and regulation required for handling such wastes.
 Negotiate the handling of waste with lenders advisor from one side and with waste management contractors and governmental agencies from the other side.
 Explore other possible solution for waste management through Waste to Energy solution as a value engineering solution.
 Train and manage joiner and intermediate technical staff resources.
 Support Project registration and permitting process with Governmental Authorities.
 Contribute to the Development of naphtha cracker, Polyethylene plant and project OSBL scope including power plant (GE technology), wastewater treatment and other utilities and offsite.
 Calculating working capital budgeting and forecasting, including assessment of costs, time schedule and operational requirements.
 Review basic engineering for process units, overall conceptual design, mass & heat balance, power & steam balances, loading liquid products process description, scope of work and PFDs.

Working on the natural gas value chain from midstream to downstream to recognize opportunities, identify gabs and to provide integrated solution, this include but not limited to optimizing natural gas utilization, and to maximize added value from derivatives.
 working as focal point between EGAS (the feedstock supplier) and Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company for development the following new petrochemical projects:
 New Ethylene Project (ETHYDCO)
 MEG Project (Port Said)
 Acidic Acid Project (Celanese )
 Gas to Polypropylene GTPP (Total)
 Build natural gas feedstock pricing formulas for new petrochemical projects in alignment with national policies, taking into account project economics and global market.
 Indemnify alignment of allocating supply to new consumers with the national strategy for optimum gas utilization.
 Evaluate the feasibility of new opportunities for natural gas projects including NGLs Plant, Small Scale LNG units, Zero Flaring, Small Scale LPG plants.
 Monitoring the performance of Joint Venture affiliated companies applying KPIs, industry norms and benchmarks.
 Contribute natural gas Contracting, this is includes but not limited to Term Sheet, GSA, HOA, SPA and MOU and LNG exporting committee (SEGAS).
 Contract Engineer Assignment : this is eight months assignment at HESS as Contract Engineer during the period of March2011 to October 2011.
 Part-time Job as Technical Studies Supervisor (From 2004 to 2006) at Arkan Holding Co. to study the investment opportunities in the industrial sector in the Arabian Gulf and other Arabic countries and to Prepare the pre-feasibility study for the short listed opportunities.

 Following-up the gas plants production.
 Carrying out the natural gas calculations & allocation.
 Planning and nominating gas supply to meet demand requirements for local market.
 Accomplish and follow up the holistic maintenance plan for all gas plants to minimize production loss.
