1. Master Gas System Package 3 (
• Inspection of various types of coating such as external fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) coating, various types of liquid coating and different types of functional coatings of piping components used in oil and gas industry.
• Implementing safety regulations on construction sites mainly during Blasting and Painting activities.
• Conducting holiday test of coated pipes of various diameters and inspection of damaged FBE coating repair by using melt stick and APCS 113A and inspect coating applications such as APCS-104A, APCS-26, APCS-26T, APCS-6 and bituminous coating APCS-10 for Concrete foundations and supports.
• Monitor on site weather conditions and perform inspection of surface preparation, preparation prior to application of paint, witness in process application of paints, verify curing and drying and DFT of applied paint system as per Saudi Aramco Standard, procedures and project specification requirements.
• Material Inspection and Test Certificates Verification.
• Inspection for the Blasting/Coating Equipment and Paint Materials, Storage and Handling of Materials, Verifying Weather Conditions, Surface Preparation and Profile Measuring, painting application and Repairing of various type of coatings, Test the curing of Paint, Holiday Testing and Repairing of FBE Coating prior to Backfilling as per applicable SAES, SATIP & SATR.
• Calibration Inspection of all type of Blasting and Painting Equipment’s and Test Instruments on site.
• Carrying out Quality Control Inspection and monitoring of site construction activities for Holiday Test of Pipe Strings prior to Backfilling and Repairing of FBE Coating in accordance with SAES-H, Specifications and approved Procedures.
• Monitor and assessed the measurement of wet film thickness and dry film thickness for each coating and initiate the corrective action on potential defects until conformance to the specification was achieved.
• Witnessed surface preparation and mixing of multi-component paint system, while ensuring that induction time, pot life and manufacturers and recommended procedures were observed.
• Monitor and assessed the measurement of wet film thickness and dry film thickness for each coating.
• Verification & inspection of received Visco Elastic Coating (STOPAQ) material against the MTC’s. Verification of in process, application of STOPAQ. STOPAQ Adhesion/ Window test & High Voltage Holiday Testing. Analysis on STOPAQ (Visco Elastic Coating) wraps tapes according to the standards at variant temperatures & environments.
• Prepare the relevant Quality Records and, when necessary, write and send to Quality Control Supervisor non-conformances reports.
• Control of storage and certification of consumables.
• Performs qualifications of coating processes.
• Checks surface preparation.
• Checks and records atmospheric conditions prior to starting of painting operations.
• Carries out wet and dry film thickness checks.
• Monitors observations of the correct coding cycles.
• Verifies the correct color-coding and painting.
• Performs visuals inspections.
• Performs adhesion testing.
