 Development comprehensive short- and long-term maintenance schedules for day by day maintenance activities and the planned shutdowns.
 Instigate and effectively coordinate meetings of the maintenance activities and planned shutdowns Steering Committee.
 Monitor the progress of materials, equipment, and special contracts in conjunction with procurement, essential for the smooth execution of tasks.
 Actively engage in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations, subsequently implementing necessary corrective measures.
 Assume a leadership role in guiding both Instrument expat and local national staff in planning and executing their designated tasks.
 Supervise the strategic organization of work processes and ensure optimal allocation of tools and resources.
 Offer technical guidance to instrumentation supervisors, aiding in the resolution of intricate issues associated with preventive and corrective instrumentation maintenance.
 Oversee sub-contractors and vendors involved in providing specialized instrumentation services.
 Orchestrate seamless coordination among maintenance, production, departments, and sub-contractors to guarantee the thorough execution of preventive maintenance assignments.
 Methodically preparation for newly added Preventive Maintenance Requests (PMR) to the master plan, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
 participate / review the detailed Work Packs, encompassing auxiliary support tasks such as scaffolding, Insulation, Crane and Rigging, Painting, and additional work centre responsibilities beyond Field Maintenance, all geared towards meticulous planning and scope definition.
 Monitoring material status closely, promptly updating and transitioning Work Order statuses upon material delivery.
 Vigilantly tracks backlog status, computes backlog man-weeks, and offers insights for mitigating delays.
 Proactively initiate sessions to capture lessons learned, aiming to identify areas necessitating improvement for subsequent events.
 Oversee day-to-day activities related to instruments, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
 Regularly compile and submit daily and weekly progress reports detailing Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (CM) activities.
 Provide comprehensive technical and supervisory assistance while actively fostering a culture of safety within the Instrument team, involving auditing, monitoring, management, and continuous enhancement.
 Conduct thorough audits and reviews of work permits, Toolbox Talks (TBT), Risk and Safety Assessments (RSA), drawings, and Method of Statements.
 Contribute to the development of specifications and scopes for new instrument installations, aligning with process requisites and supporting the execution of related projects.
 Identify potential avenues for enhancing process instrumentation and refining control loops.
 Undertake in-depth investigations into operational issues within instrumentation, pinpointing problematic components and delivering technical reports furnished with recommendations.
 Extend technical support for the maintenance and troubleshooting of control valves, motorize valves, actuators, and similar components, expertly diagnosing root causes and proposing both immediate and long-term corrective measures.
 Determine essential spare parts and assess inter-changeability, subsequently devising comprehensive stocking strategies, Initiate the generation of purchase orders to fulfil departmental requirements.
 Assume reporting responsibilities to the instrument superintendent regarding all instruments and automation undertakings.
 Play a vital role in reviewing Management of Change (MOC) processes for Field, DCS, and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) systems.
 Contribute actively to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives pertaining to Instrument failures and any Shutdown events
