Project Delivery & Operations Branch is responsible for the projects
delivery within the South Coast region
➢ Responsible for the delivery of various projects within the region. In this position I undertake Project Manager
role as well as the Contract Administrator (Superintendent to AS2124) of various contracts.
➢ Projects include Pacific Motorway Upgrade (Fitzgerald to Aranda Street) $45m, Logan Motorway Overpass
widening $10m, Browns Plains Bus Station reconstruction $10m, Stapylton-Jacobs Well Rd Upgrades$10m,
Southport-Burleigh Road Upgrade program of projects 104m.
➢ Undertake the role of team leader when team leader is out of the office or on leave as required.
➢ Accountabilities include the following:
• Manage the operational aspects of project delivery to achieve effective and efficient use of systems and
processes involved with all phases of the project management mode.
• Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support
responsible decisions and courses of action for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects.
• Manage contract performance and construction practices to achieve value for money outcomes
• Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are identified and addressed
• Provide support and advice on planning and design suitability and options, use of materials, resources,
components or systems, construction practices and problem solving to achieve value for money & best
practice.
• Supervise and co-ordinate resource allocation and encourage effective teamwork to foster a positive attitude
toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
• Identify and manage networks and alliances of stakeholders and manage expectations, issue, and identify
possible political and high risk matters to resolve in a timely and professional manner.
The Authority is responsible for coordinating the Government’s
program of infrastructure renewal and recovery in disaster affected
communities - a program with an estimated value of more than $12
billion.
➢ In this role I closely monitor the delivery of the Traffic Network Reconstruction Program (TNRP) of a total budget
of $6.923b inclusive of road network damages from events of 2010 - 2013.
➢ Accountabilities include the following:
· Liaise with the Department of Transport and Main Road TNRP State Program Office and Regional Program
Offices across the state.
· Liaise with Compliance and Value for Money Teams within QRA
· Provide technical advise to address issues resolution
· Provide guidance to achieve approval process desired outcome
· Advise the CEO and CFO to resolve issues of concern with the Federal Inspectorate and Taskforce of the
Federal Government
· Closely monitor, support and report on the delivery of the Submissions Approval process

➢ As Project Manager appointed for the delivery of the Oxley Creek Project within the PMO, Overall Project value is
$15M, I assisted in the development of project management deliverables including time and financial
management outcomes.
➢ Accountabilities include the following:
· Provide high level management support to City Planning
· Develop and implement policies & strategies to ensure cost effective and timely delivery of projects
· Manage the development, delivery of rolling programs, and reporting and implement actions required
· Develop budgets and delivery programs for current and future years major capital works designs
· Develop, negotiate and evaluate service level agreements and contracts
· Lead staff in line with fair and equitable human resource management policies and practices,
· Manage staff performance and guide the professional development of program staff.
RoadTek is the commercial construction arm of the Department of

➢ In this role I lead Project Managers to deliver RoadTek RPC/MWPC contracts (capital works) with the Region
including Tugun, Bilinga, Palm Beach Gold Coast Hwy. Upgrades, Reynolds Creek Road and Bridge
Realignment, Tallagandra Intersection upgrade, Beaudesert Boonah Road Western Tie-In, Nerang Broadbeach
Footpath, Southport Burleigh Bridge and intersections widening, and Beechmont road rehabilitation projects.
➢ As Projects Director, I responsible to provide technical and contractual guidance in the pre and post construction
stages of these projects, and complimenting the preparation for the next round of projects.
➢ Accountabilities include the following:
· Provide fair and active leadership and guidance to projects managers and their teams
· Ensures fit between Organisational Goals and Business Goals
· Establish and maintain networking with other organisations within Main Roads
· Responsible for building effective project teams
· Deployment of staff and addressing their needs
· Resolve technical issues and potential problems and provide solutions and recommendations
· Mentor and drive total operation of the business unit
managing several major water infrastructure projects that will
supply significant additional water to South East Queensland (SEQ)
including Traveston and Wyaralong Dam Projects and associated
infrastructure.
➢ As Senior Project Manager - Roads, I lead the Roads Section within QWI as well as managed the procurement of
Traveston Roads preliminary designs, RFP as well as the Scope and Technical Criteria for the Traveston
Alliances - two $100 million projects. Also, managed the design, tenders and contracts development, and
construction delivery of a $75 million Dollar procurement and construction delivery budget including the
Beaudesert - Boonah Road Realignment a $45 million hard dollar contract to Main Roads RCC project delivery
system based on AS2124.

Upgrade Project is a 1.8 Billion dollar Design and
Construction Project of the Gateway Bridge Duplication including
existing bridges and motorway widening
➢ As Quality Manager - South, I managed the quality aspects of GUP southern section
➢ Accountabilities include the following:
· Assessment and compliance verification of Non Conformance Records
· Supervise and mentor project Inspector and Project and Site Engineers
· Assessment of proposed Asphalt, Bitumen Seal and Concrete mix designs and release relevant HP
· Assess and process NCR’s on an electronic quality system
· Perform Quality Audits (Internal and External) and compile Audit Reports accordingly
· Desktop review of Subcontractors and Supplier Quality Plans
· Prepare Monthly Quality Reports and approve Inspection and Test Plans
· Represent Quality Section in Internal, Progress Payment and External Client Meetings

➢ Program managed the design of infrastructure elements for the development of Almogran CBD and Almogran
Residential Estate. This project is the largest in Africa. Total Project value is in excess of $4 Billion US. Civil
elements construction cost is $180 million US. Including roads water treatment plant, wastewater treatment plant,
230 GIS Substation flood embankment and 2 underpasses bridge structures. Project is situated in Khartoum
Sudan. Almogran Project Overview. Project management was being carried out from Dubai UAE.
➢ Accountabilities include the following:
· Evaluate review assess and comment on preliminary and detailed Design
· Coordinate and prepare formal evaluation reports on Design Reports and Drawings

➢ Initially appointed as a Project Engineer for Earthworks North responsible for the construction of local roads
including Sunnyholt Road, Norwest Boulevard and Seven Hills Road. I was in this position up to the traffic
switches at Sunnyholt and Norwest Boulevard. Upon successful completion of this stage of the project I was
appointed as Senior Quality Engineer for Local Roads North and South.
o Duties as Project Engineer
· Propose design changes and implementation of various construction activities

each, two substations, blast-proof control building, pipe racks and sleepers, seawall, flair stack foundations as
well as 1.3 Km of roads including box culverts etc.

Khuff Gas Pipeline Replacement between Points N-B-S. Locations under my construction supervision are:
station S upgrade, satellite S and LBV 13 civil construction and station B
EPIC - Gas Pipeline Replacement Project from Point W1 to W2 Ras Abu Fontas. Work involves 3 station
upgrades and pipe rerouting.
o Also assisted in the supervision of EPIC - Road Rehabilitation from Junction No. 1 to Gatehouse No.

➢ Projects included the construction of three bridges for the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW, Australia. Project
value is AUD 4m including two three-span pre-stressed plank bridges and Eagle Hawk Hill Interchange with a
post-tensioned voided slab deck totalling 1151m3 of concrete.
➢ Manage project within Practical Completion Date and well within budget using cost effective methods in Bridge
Construction and providing a quality product to the client.
Civil contracting company mainly involved with roads and bridge
construction in NSW and ACT
➢ A partnering project of AUD 16.5m with the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW Australia. The Ewingsdale
Interchange Project included the construction of a 2km dual carriageway on the Pacific Highway, an overbridge,
an underpass and a roundabout.
➢ A partnering project of AUD 13.5m with the Roads and Traffic Authority NSW Australia. The Eungai Duplication
Project included the construction of a southbound carriageway of approximately 5km long on the Pacific Highway
at Eungai in the Mid Coast of New South Wales.
➢ Plan, control and supervise project completed six months ahead of schedule with preferred margin net.
