- Developing vehicle parts suppliers’ quality management systems to meet customer requirements and the end customer’s needs & Manage new projects quality activities after sourcing until start of production to ensure delivering parts achieving QCT targets stably in mass production phase.
- Put annual/mid-term targets to ensure department alignment with company objectives by utilizing current resources of SQD/PQE.
- Evaluate Supplier Quality Management System (QMS) and technical capabilities by conducting Alliance Supplier Evaluation Standard (ASES) and Process Engineering Skill Evaluation and Support (PESES) before/after parts sourcing phase.
- Assess current suppliers QMS by conducting Supplier Health Check (SHC) in Production Phase to maintain supplier QMS at required level
- Issue and follow up on rank-Up plans and re-evaluate suppliers QMS to achieve Alliance minimum requirements.
- Prepare and issue quarterly Supplier Score Card (SSC), and communicate with supplier’s top management to monitor and control their quality performance.
- Lead PQE in implementing Alliance New Product Quality Procedure (ANPQP) in new projects to maintain supplier commitment to new project management requirements.
- Prepare and propose budget plans (Cost & CAPEX) to local & regional management.
- Monitor and analyze monthly performance, then challenge functions and allocate tasks to achieve
cost KPI.
- Report monthly Cost/CAPEX KPI and analysis to local & regional management.
- Prepare Cost & CAPEX forecasts (2+10, 5+7, 7+5) to local & regional management.
- With functions, create cost reduction plans.
- Follow up on cost reduction plans on monthly basis and analyze the gap vs. plan, and decide
countermeasures.
- Prepare feasibility study for new CAPEX requests.
Process responsibilities:
- Supervise all operations of body shop to achieve quality, time and cost targets (QTC).
- Process sheet study and make a control of man, machine, material and method (4M).
- Make the layout of the line.
- Quality improvement utilizing QC story (Problem solving technique).
- Carry out cost reduction activities (Control of material usage).
- Coordinate cross culturally with other Nissan plants outside Egypt and cross functionally within NMEG.
Project Management responsibilities:
- Responsible for the new projects inside body shop.
- Set the master schedule for the project preparations.
- Project budget estimation.
- Study operation manual and process allocation.
- Make the layout of the new line.
- Decide equipment specifications needed for the line.
- Carry out jigs trial to solve jig problems.
- Carry out engineering trial to solve problems using PCS (problem check sheet) and follow up sheet.
- Issue standard welding parameters for welding guns.
- Report monthly progress report.
- Arrange milestone meetings.
Ensure the quality of the product produced will meet all customer expectations and quickly & effectively take action when non-conformance found.
