Work as part a multinational Engineering Management team providing Process Engineering services for:
• Basic & Detailed Engineering for Phases II & III of Perla Offshore Gas Field (Offshore & Onshore facilities) to process 1, 2 BSCFD (Gas Processing & Gas Compression).
• Performing Process Simulation (Steady State & Dynamic) applied to design for Phases II & III of Perla Offshore Gas Field, hydraulic calculation, equipment ratings, debottlenecking, tuning process control system, optimization and base case for dynamic model as required by Engineering.
• Developing, modifying and updating Process Flow diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) in according to plant modifications to process systems.
• Assist in reviewing and evaluating technical studies for management of change (MOC), conducting risk assessments, HAZOP, HAZIP, SIL and PHA.
• Participating in planning, budget, organizing and controlling the process engineering deliverables required for the project engineering in CARDON IV in according and for operating capital budget for relevant materials and chemicals.
• Instructor for CARDON IV Academy Program in Gas Operations (Gas dehydration, Hydrate Control, Gas Engineering, Hysys applied in Gas Offshore & Onshore Operations (dynamics & steady State) & Gas Sweetening.
• Liaising, consulting and communication with Principal Process Engineer, Senior staff, Team Mates, other disciplines, Internal Clients such as: Operations, Integrity & Reliability, Production and Maintenance on matters relating to performance to achieve maximum plant operability and project completion.
• Preparation of cost estimates and Scope of Work (SOP), feasibility studies, engineering specifications.
I was responsible for:
• Assisting in reviewing and evaluating technical studies and other works within Northern Area Capital Program Management (NACPM) Staff Department applying Saudi Aramco Standards SABP, SAES, others.
• Liaising with other disciplines, multinational and multicultural project and engineering teams for Fadhili Gas Plant Project (Onshore & Offshore Facilities).
• Providing technical advice and solutions in technical matters within the process engineering discipline.
• Identifying any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required by engineering and operation team
Worked as part of the Process Engineering team. My esponsibilities included process and facilities design development including, design review and supervision services in Feed and Detailed engineering for 2nd & 3rd phase (Full Field) of the 1, 200 MMSCFD Gas Plant of the Offshore Perla Field, were:
• Performing and review of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD’s), Process & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID’s), Plot Plant, Equipment List, Equipment sizing calculations.
• Performing Equipment sizing (Stabilization Column, Recycle Gas Compressor, Heater, Pump, others) specifications and Data Sheet, Scope of Work, Design Packages, Cost estimate preparation and interface with Internal Client and Stakeholders Venture (ENI - REPSOL)
• Review of Engineering deliverables with external contractors, engineering companies and vendors
• Preparing feasibility & profitability studies for new facilities and support to the preparation of cost estimates.
• Assisting in the development, reviewing and evaluating the basis for technical studies (flow assurance, hydraulic calculations) for 2nd & 3rd phase (Full Field) Perla Gas Field development project (Offshore & Onshore) and other works within Engineering Management.
• Supporting to Operations Department during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up, promoting safety behavior in coordination with HSE Department and consistent with CARDON IV safety policies.
• Providing guidance on all process engineering technical queries raised by either internal or engineering contractors (third parties).
• Installation of process equipment and system field commissioning and testing
Worked as part of the Process Engineering team reporting to the Lead Process Engineer, providing consultancy and technical services for process engineering design in Project Engineering for Oil & Gas including:
• Concept, FEED & Detailed engineering for Gas Processing, Heavy & Extra heavy oil (8 - 16 API) Projects for design for new and existing facilities (offshore & onshore), Gas Compression, CPF`s, gathering systems, multiphase pumps, desalting & dehydration), Oil Refining, Petrochemical, utilities & offsites.
• Developing Process Simulation for Gas Projects assigned, review & engineering documents such as: P&ID, PFD, PBD, equipment sizing, equipment data sheet, design packages, hydraulic calculations, heat & material balance, safety charts, operating procedures, and process simulation, flare system modeling & design, HAZOP, HAZID, Pump selection, NPSH calculations.
• Making plant performance, monitoring and optimization to improve plant productivity, procedures and plant problem solving techniques as Root Cause Analysis in existing facilities for Retrofit and Plant Debottlenecking
• Analyzing system performance using Energy Integration for Energy saving in retrofit of heat exchangers networks on refinery and gas extraction plant.
• Data management for Process Modeling (Steady State & Dynamic) for design, evaluate process technologies, monitoring, equipment ratings and failure analysis.
• Preparing feasibility & profitability studies for new facilities and support to the preparation of cost estimates.
• Liaising and consulting with senior staff on matters relating to highly complex design and more suitable international engineering, codes, practices, company & industry standards (API, ASME, TEMA, Shell DEP, Exxon, Chevron, PDVSA, Others).
• Procurement Technical Assistance in analysis of technical proposals of suppliers and factory inspections of equipment and materials of medium complexity and cost
• Development of conceptual, basic and detail engineering for extra heavy oil applied to oil/ water/ gas separation, gas processing /conditioning, produced water treatment modeling/ optimizing and process equipment sizing/selection.
• Support the Senior Process Engineering Staff in meeting the general objectives as defined by the Management of the Oil & Gas Surface Engineering Department.
• Assist in reviewing and evaluating technical studies and process simulations for Extra Heavy Oil Field (Cerro Negro Oil 8 API) development projects and other works within the Oil & Gas Surface Engineering Department.
• Undertake verification and supplementary process works to support existing projects and carry out independent studies, as requested, in support of the department's diversified activities.
• Technical Support for Steel Pipe manufacturing, Galvanizing and other works within the Plant Production Department.
• Making forecast and scheduling and producing recommendations to the Manufacturing Department of steel pipes for hot dip galvanizing process.
• Design and deliver training courses for new workers and junior engineers in hazardous materials.
• Provide consultancy and supervisory services on site for engineering & construction projects.
• Assist in reviewing and evaluating procedures, specifications, application of special coatings, others for corrosion control, surface preparation projects and other works within the engineering & construction contractor’s department for Oil & Gas projects in according to NACE and SSPC Standards.
• Making deployment of staff in a 3 shift system and being accountable for both productivity and work standards.

Thesis: Development of Mathematics model to study the isomerization reactor and mass and energy balance development to simulate the reaction sections of the unit ISOMAR and xylene fractioning of Refinery El Palito in function of changes such as: type of refined oil, temperature, feeding composition, flux among others and to establish the optimal conditions to the functioning of the plants.
