Supervising Rig-up activities related to HSE concerns, managing SIMOPS
2- Managing rig demobilizations where on the job training is required. as Most of the HSE incidents occur during the rig mobilization with new crews.
3- Maintain compliance with local and international HSE laws, regulations and standards.
4- Implement and maintain HSE management system, procedures and work practices and related HSE Plans & bridging documents for drilling operations.
5- Participate in HSE risk assessments to plan and execute prevention and mitigation controls.
6- Creating Lifting Plans Cat 1.2.3 (certified lifting planner, rigger 1, 2 from LEEA)
7- Monitor the daily drilling activity and discuss with rig supervisors the risks for each hole section.
8- Hydrogen sulfide training for encountering H2S before, while drilling.
9- Daily attending the drilling crew tour changes and participating in before action reviews.
10- Enforcing full participation with the personnel START/STOP type behavioral safety program for the rig personnel and the service company personnel.
11- Monitor the nonhazardous and hazardous waste management.
12- Monitor the rig personnel for needed HSE training.
13- Support the rig departments with their HSE MS, following implementing.

14- Monitor the daily drilling activity and discuss with rig supervisors the risks for each hole section.
15- Interact and transfer knowledge to local manpower (Rig and contractor staff).
16- Assure that all safety incidents and accidents are properly reported and investigated and lessons learned are shared and issue the respective documentation as established in procedures.
17- Ensure emergency preparedness, lifesaving equipment periodical inspection.
18- Participate on the preparation and perform the HSE meetings and proceed as instructed (daily, weekly and monthly frequency), attend all site planning, progress and other appropriate site meetings, particularly those where subcontractors are involved.
19- Prepare, witness critical operations required documents such as heavy lifts, casing running operations, rig down, rig up and rig movement operations etc.
20- Carry out safety inspections and control on safety equipment functionality.
21- Participate to and audit PTW's (Permit to Work).
22- Propose and supervise on site HSE compliance campaigns, HSE training (Handling and Lifting, pinch points).
23- Promote HSE on site, motivate personnel to safe behavior and organize information campaigns.
24- Perform hygiene inspections at the camp and rig site.
25- Inspection of lifting gear (slings, cranes, shackles and bolts, safety pins etc.
26- Verify safe use and storage of dangerous goods.
27- Periodically check on the state of firefighting equipment and all safety signs and posters.
28- Ensure strict compliance with the EIA and waste management procedures.
29- Perform environmental inspections and waste disposal and segregation procedures.
30- Stop cards tracking, ensure adequate corrective actions are undertaken for most significant stop cards.
31- Witness safety drills and check for compliance with the contingency plan.
32- In charge of Induction process for new personnel incomers.
33- In an emergency situation be a member of rig investigation team, write incident reports, and maintain files, register and follow-up close out of corrective actions.
