Benban Solar Power Project 1470 MW

Managing all construction and installation civil and electromechanically activities for the following:

1. 500KV/ 10 bays GIS switchgear \[EGEMAC XD\]. With 500/220 KV tie transformers.
2. Installations of all 22kV (850 Km) interconnecting cables between the PV and the substations including cable accessories (connections and seal ends).
3. 500 KV overhead transmission line Benban /Nagaa Hamadi (195Km).
4. Support planning of subcontractors activities.
5. Review and monitor subcontractors’ progress.
6. Coordinate between 32 developers and Electrical Egyptian Transmission Company (EETC) for power evacuation planning.
7. Prepare a critical actions report to alert EETC to decisions and corrective actions taken to control the project and to present major control actions and alternatives with mitigation plan.

Managing all electrical installation activities

1. All electrical installations and for turbine generator (indoor/ outdoor)
2. STG electrical/ control package and electric installations for all turbine auxiliary skids
3. All cable raceways, MV, power and control cables, cable termination, testing and handed over to commissioning.
4. Main Transformer (305 Per Phase MVA) and Aux. Transformers (40 MVA) \[TBEA\]
5. Transformer protection relay system (including relay panels and cabling)
6. MV/LV switchgears (6.6KV/400V)\[SCHNEIDER\] with two emergency Diesel Generator
7. IPB (23KV/23000A) \[ALSTOM\] and Generator circuit breakers \[ABB\]
8. 220KV/ 10 bays GIS switchgear \[Siemens\].
9. 500KV/ 6 bays GIS switchgear \[HYUNDAI\]. With 500/220 KV tie transformers.
10. Power Plant interface and interlock system
11. Power plant main control console/distribution control system (DCS)
12. Power plant communication, data and paging systems and firefighting system.
13. Reviewing Startup scoping from electrical point of view.
14. Reviewing and approval contractor progress reports.
15. Reviewing and approval contractor invoices against actual site progress.
16. Ensuring all safety measures and risk assessment are in place consideration before starting construction work.
17. Industrial Water Treatment plant for power station.
18. HV, MV, LV, control cables installation, termination and testing…ect.
19. Electric installations and HVAC system at buildings (warehouse, administration and all electric buildings).
20. Lighting, cathodic protection and grounding system.
21. Adding lessons learnt where applicale.

Project: New Capital Power Plant (4*1200 MW) Combine Cycle

Job Description and Responsibility:

Representing the EPC contractor (Orascom-OCI) for Module #10 ” 1200 MW 2x2x1” as team leader, managing and supervising all construction activities required to be handed over to Siemens commissioning team:
1. Assigning system construction leaders (mechanical and electrical Eng.).
2. Preparing construction system priorities for commissioning and startup hand over.
3. Supervising all subcontractors construction work (Electromechanically).
4. Supervising subcontractor daily progress activities.
5. Managing daily construction meeting with vendors and subcontractors.
6. Supporting pre-commissioning activities including Hydro test, system flushing, Motors run test, alignments, leak tests, etc..
7. Preparing for chemical cleaning and steam blow commissioning activities activities.
8. Review and approve subcontractor work progress and quality reports.
9. Plan and review all turn over packages from construction to commissioning and startup.
10. Review project quality deliverable that included in the work package (WP) and in the test package (TP).
11. Monitoring closing construction and commissioning punch lists.

Project: Borg Al Arab Power Plant (6*10 MW) Gas Engine (IPP project)

Job Description and Responsibility:

Representing the Owner (KAHRABA) as Owner engineer for the following activities at site:
1- Managing EPC contractor working activities
2-Supervise and managing all construction work (Civil, Electromechanically).
3-Supervise and managing all pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup activities.
4-Ensure that project is executing within budget and planed schedule.
5-Review and approve EPC contractor work progress and quality reports.
6-Review and approve EPC contractor progress invoices.
7-Ensure project quality deliverable.
8- Committed to Zero incident and environmental free philosophy

Located at Main Head Office to support the following activities:
- Reviewing contractors Safety and Quality plan including all risk assessment.
- Auditing Head Office departments (project management, engineering, procurements, and project control) to ensure QESH implementation.
- Auditing construction sites to ensure QESH implementation.

- Ensuring the construction team is implementing the issued design and its updates;
- Reviewing the completeness of the engineering designs in such way supporting the ongoing construction activities and phases;
- Monitoring NCR, RFI, FCR, FCN and punch list closing process.
- Review Turnover Package system implementation.
- Verify site expense with construction budget, ensure that manpower is consisting with project requirement, ensure all equipment and tools as per project schedule, verify project schedule is within baseline, and focus on free zero accident.
