Currently leading multiple Electrification projects in North America.
Achievements at ABB:
Nemaska Lithium Project: an engineering, procurement, site supervision & commissioning electrification project (>$40M), it is composed of a Mine Site and Electrochemical Plant. Mine portion was completed & delivered on time. Project was suspended due to customer financial challenges.
Maritime Link Project: A mega EPC project (>400MUSD) consists of 2 HVDC converter stations & 3 AC electrical Substations (>$90M). I was responsible of the Substations portion of the Project. Successfully delivered the 3 concurrent Substations on time despite of the execution challenges of 3 different customers, brownfield sites, internal consortium & geographically dispersed teams.
Hearn Electrical Substation: A large EPC project (>$50M), a Brownfield 138KV substation, located downtown Toronto. Successfully delivered the project on time and to the customer satisfaction.
Hycroft Gold Mine: Design, supply and commission of drive systems for the new ore grinding mills at Allied Nevada Gold’s Hycroft gold mine expansion project, Nevada, USA
Degrémont is the water treatment specialist within SUEZ ENVIRONNEMENT. With business in over 70 countries and nearly 4, 500 employees, Degrémont generated sales of 1.038 billion Euros in 2006.
Its teams design, build and commission facilities for drinking water production, desalination, wastewater and sludge treatment for local authorities and industries.
Managing multiple concurrent Water treatment projects, all over Canada, that covers a vast range of water treatment technologies (AquaDAF©, Biofor©, PulsaPak, FeraZur© & MangaZur©).
Responsibilities as a Project Manager :
Prepare project schedules and manage budgets
Manage customer expectations.
Organize and supervise calls for tenders
Assign various subcontracts
Manage various contentious projects.
Resolve conceptual and operational problems
Achievements at Degremont Canada:
• Nunavik WTP- Northern Quebec: EPC project of Industrial Water treatment plant (DensaDeg technology) to serve the Nickel-Copper Mine of Canadian Royalties.
• Aylmer Water treatment plant - Gatineau, QC: Design, supply, install and commission of 3 air dissolved flotation systems (AquaDAF).
• Balzac WTP - Rocky County, Alberta: Design, supply and commission of 3 dissolved air flotation (AquaDAF) & filters systems. 2500m3/day.
• Kahkewistahaw First Nation WTP- Saskatchewan: Design, supply and commission of 2 complete demineralization (Ferazur) and Nanofiltration systems
• Mirabel WTP - QC: Design, supply and commission of demineralization (Ferazur& Mangazur) system for the Rehabilitation of Mirabel Water treatment plant.
• Lou Romano Water Reclamation Plant- Windsor, ON: Design, supply and commission of biological waste water treatment (Biofor) systems.
• St. Henri WTP - St. Henri de Levis, QC: Design, supply and commission of 2 clarifiers (PulsaPAK) systems.
Electrical Site Superintendent at “ Mwanza Water Treatment Project-Lot 1” Tanzania
Project Description: Potable Water treatment plant of capacity of 100 000 m3/day, with overall cost 23 Millions Dollars
Responsibilities:
• Planning and scheduling electrical installation activities
• Supervising all the electrical installations (HVSWGR, LVSWGR, Soft Starters, Control panels…)
• Leading installations & Commissioning teams.
• Coordinating project with other engineering disciplines (Civil, Mechanical) and subcontractors
• Performing all the pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for electrical equipments
Responsibilities as a Maintenance Engineer:
•Carry out all the maintenance works for the LVSWGR and MCC and Lighting panels.
•Supervising the Low voltage maintenance team
•Develop and maintain the planned preventive maintenance programs. (pumps, penstocks, fans, compressors, mixers, agitators, scrapper bridges)
•Effectively providing solutions to long and short-term problems to ensure optimal performance.
•Fault finding, problem solving and repair skills
•Issuing relevant reports
Project name: "Greatest Cairo Waste Water Treatment Project " Contract 19.
Waste Water treatment plant with a capacity of 5, 000, 000 m3/ day.
Responsibilities:
1. Put appropriate detail time schedules for electrical works
2. Follow the progress and issue relevant reports
3. Issue and follow Inspection requests (IR)
4. Follow up the general administration tasks linked with electrical works
5. Control the accuracy of drawings with the specification
6. Supervise the work of sub-contractors
7. organize co-ordination between the electrical sub-contractors and others
8. Supervise the quality of work performed by relevant sub-contractors
9. Revise the as built drawings
10.Follow up the delivery sheet for material handed over to sub-contractors or others
11.Follow up the preliminary tests including the documentation
12. Follow up all the pre-commissioning
& commissioning
of electrical equipments.
