Quality Control Manager for the Three Tunnels under Suez Canal Port Said ( Sinai ) 17 Billion EGP The three tunnels (two Roadways and one Railway) under Suez Canal (Port Said), an industrial zone west of the Gulf of Suez, are under construction simultaneously with the excavation of the new canal. The road tunnels will reach 48 m depth, with 3, 187 m length and 10.8 m-diameter each with two 3.75 m-wide lanes. The railway tunnels will reach a 48 m depth, with 6, 705 m length and five ventilation shafts.
The state-owned Arab Contractors Company (AC) and the private Orascom Construction Industries (OCI), under the supervision of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority, will construct the three tunnels using TBMs.
Herrenknecht was awarded the TBM contract for the three tunnels

1- Suez Thermal Power Plant

Suez thermal power project is designed to include a 1×650 MW steam thermal power plant to interconnect with National Unified Power System (NUPS) through a 220 KV GIS switchyard. The power block is comprised of one Rankine cycle turbine generator unit with a nominal rated capacity of 650 MW. The unit is capable of generating rated capacity using natural gas, residual (mazout) oil, or a combination of both. The unit station arrangement includes an enclosed turbine building, an open boiler building, a control room, and all associated structurers and facilities
