• Quantity surveying of all structural elements.
• Cost estimation, cost breakdown & cost control.
• Preparing & revising invoices & claims.

Mixed use project comprising 18 stories residential towers above a shopping mall and parking area Podium. Structure comprised RC frame founded on a 2.0m thick raft.
Responsibilities:
• Inspect and assess the quality of materials being used for construction projects.
• Oversee the work of field staff to ensure efficacy of work procedures.
• Make sure that all construction activities are being carried out in accordance to present safety rules.
• Ensure availability of resources and materials at all times.
• Provide technical advice to field staff in order to ensure that construction procedures are being carried out properly
• Identify construction constraints and plan and carry out measures to counter them
• Prepare public reports such as bid proposals and environmental impact statements.

Responsibilities:
• Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives.
• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant.
• Agreeing a price for materials and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project.
• Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
Responsible for monitoring and forecasting the overall cost of the program as
well as of the clusters within the region.
Monitor, forecast and manage all financial & cost reporting aspects of the
program.
Ensure follow-up and integration of budget changes once approved.
Document cost progress in cash flow curves, labor utilization curves if required.
Monitor costs to verify if they reflect the planned value, actual costs and acquired value.
Prepare various types of reports on project costs, based on established requirements in
terms of content and presentation.
