Mixed use project comprising 18 stories residential towers above a shopping mall and parking area Podium. Structure comprised RC frame founded on a 2.0m thick raft.
Responsibilities:
• Inspect and assess the quality of materials being used for construction projects.
• Oversee the work of field staff to ensure efficacy of work procedures.
• Make sure that all construction activities are being carried out in accordance to present safety rules.
• Ensure availability of resources and materials at all times.
• Provide technical advice to field staff in order to ensure that construction procedures are being carried out properly

• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
• Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant.
• Agreeing a price for materials and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project.
• Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
• Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws.
