Due to the BESIX business model of handling the jobs I Joined the company as a multi-task engineer holding different positions as Bid / Project manager as well as Lead EICA, I switch positions depends on the project I'm handling
Bid Manager Responsibilities.
- Developing Bid plans and defining scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Manage virtual bid teams and inputs from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery
- Preparing and reviewing the techno-commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer
- Risk tracking and management throughout the bid process
- Contributing to the written technical proposal.
- Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids
- Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues
- Arrange all post bid reviews with clients.
Project Manager Responsibilities.
- Approving the scope of works, the plan and the target cost for each element of a project.
- Achieving stated project objectives.
- Setting clear and attainable project objectives.
- Giving direction and support to the project team.
- Providing project reports to the required standard and deadlines.

- Proffered strategic direction in managing EICA design and execution for water and wastewater projects.
- Spearheaded a multicultural team of engineers and subcontractors through all project phases.
- Made significant and vital contributions in developing EICA package cost estimate along with technical and commercial consideration.
- Carried the highest level of responsibility in maintaining EICA design and procurement activities within budget, scope and time constraints, while ensuring technical integrity.
- Proffered inputs in technical quality, detailed design, Shop drawings & submittals for Electrical & solar supply, Distribution, Instrumentation and Automation systems.
- Headed a team of electrical engineers towards commissioning for all EICA and MEP related equipment.
- Carrying out regular site inspection/site walk-downs and managed all work permits, lockout, and safety practices.
• Reviewing D&B tenders from project execution point to ensure that the proposed Scope, manpower, contractor’s agreement, budget, time schedule and execution plan are meeting the organization objective and client requirement and highlight the expected Risk, Opportunities and suggesting the required actions..
• Identifying project milestones for document submission, procurement, Construction, commissioning and handover.
• Identifying resources and requirements, assigning responsibilities and managing stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
• Risk Identification, evaluation and mitigation.
• Creation of Project Management tools (Defects, Document Control, health & safety, quality assurance …..).
• Established QA procedures for projects.
• Ensure that all H&S procedures are met and maintained.
• Project Controls & Monitoring including Costs, Work Breakdown Structure, planning and quality control.

* HV/LV cables & switchboards.

* Earthing & Lightning System
** Producing P& ID’s, as well as Instruments details Drawings such as:-
* Instrument Loop Diagram.
* Instrument data sheet.
* Hook up drawing.
* Interconnection Diagram.
* HAZOP & CHAZOP study meeting.
** Proceeding purchase orders and follow up for all site activities.
** Commissioning for all EI&C related equipments.
Tender Studying and Cost Estimation for Turn-Key Projects
Prepare design & workshop drawings for all electrical activities (MV, transformers, Low voltage switchgears, ……etc)
Prepare Shop drawings & submittals for Electrical items such as:-
* PLC system architecture and wiring diagram.
* HV/LV cables & switchboards.
* Internal & External Lighting.
* Earthing & Lightning System
