The University is a self-governing internationally recognized institution offering education programs and conducting research in Engineering, Science, Business and Medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
• Developing and implementing security policies, procedures, processes and controls to provide requisite security level as per ISO 270001 standards for the University.
• Directing inquiries into suspected security incidents involving system assets/ information. Conducting investigations of all suspected computer security violations, incidents, and compromises of classified information.
Managed the operations, support and maintenance of communications systems in the RSAF to provide cost effective and innovative solutions to sustain/upgrade the system performance, reliability and availability.
• Implemented various wireless communications programs to improve existing communications capabilities and new systems requirements. Reviewed plans/specifications for adequate analysis and justification of requirements, realistic cost estimates, and program deadlines.
• Controlled implementation of equipment delivery, installation and commissioning programs for satellite ground and mobile station equipment.
• Provided support and advice to RSAF for maintaining the communication systems and all interface connectivity. Translated challenging customer requirements into field able wireless systems.
• Identified/recorded risks and mitigation strategies in accordance with the prescribed risk management process.
• Handled, mitigated, and tracked all communication systems down time for all deployed communication sites. Scheduled required preventive maintenance inspections on secured/ unsecured network voice and data systems.
• Performed preventive maintenance, self-verification, and loop tests of ground station equipment; ensured maintenance data collection, inspection, and maintenance records are complete and accurate. Evaluated equipment performance using test equipment; isolated, repaired, and replaced electronic equipment.
• Conducted research and provided resolution for information security issues. Ensured strict implementation and compliance of information security requirements and policies.
• Guided, trained and directed assigned employees on maintaining the communication system. Monitored their performance and counseled to maintain a motivated team.
