1) Inspecting Sanitation condition of Industries & Public Areas
2) Epidemic Control Programme
3) Checking Compliance of Health & Safety Management System & Legislation.
4) Environmental Awareness Programme
5) Checking Environmental Pollution with respect to National Environmental Quality Standards
6) Doing job as a Health & Safety Consultant for Industries
As an HSE Manager of HSE Department, I am responsible for overall HSE matters and reports to General Manager. In my subordinates, there are HSE Coordinator and HSE inspectors that monitors HSE matters of all employees in various projects.
Responsibilities:
As an HSE Manager I am responsible for ensuring the company’s full compliance with Corporate HSE policies, procedures, all government legislation applicable to operations and putting in place processes required for HSE Management systems are established, implemented and maintained. Following key roles are part of my job:
1) Provide direction, support and leadership to employees and contractors.
2) Supports all management in implementing, monitoring and improving the HSE Plan and HSE Management System.
3) To Ensure and supervise hazards identification, risk assessments and risk control are taken.
4) To recommend control measures and advise on the standard of P.P.E. issued to employees.
5) Conduct health and safety inspections and prepare reports of all the company’s operations.
6) To Ensure Incident Investigations are done by HSE Inspectors and corrective actions taken.
7) To arrange Health surveillance as instructed.
8) Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
9) To highlight areas where training/certification is required to meet the standards imposed by Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or HSE guidance.
10) To bring new techniques for improving health, safety and welfare to the attention of the Higher Authorities.
11) To set a personal example by wearing appropriate personal protective clothing/equipment and observing all safety requirements/procedures.
