Provide site health and safety inspection, ensure facility compliance with corporate safety standards,
improve safety performance, and ensure facility safety policies and procedures are aligned with
governmental regulations.
Work with other staff within the hotel to determine and establish procedures and standards and
monitor these against agreed targets.
Responsibilities:
• Risk assessment and risk reduction work in order to get a safe environment without diseases or
injuries and Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work
process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices.
• Facilitate a work environment that supports a safe and healthy culture.
• Conduct and coordinate worker training in different hotel divisions such as firefighting and
emergency procedures, safe handling, hazard communication, lock-out/tag-out, and the use of safety
equipment and PPEs.
• Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct
potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
• Participate in incident investigation, near misses and occupational injuries to determine causes, set
preventive measures, and follow up for corrective actions.
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and
necessary changes.
• Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and
long term strategic safety planning and development.
• Order and maintain facility safety inventory including supplies and equipment.
