Responsible for all Warehousing and Distribution Centers procurement activities across PepsiCo Beverages & Snacks operating companies in MENA region (Egypt, Saudi, and Jordan) with a procurement budget of 200m EGP:
- Developed the category sourcing strategy delivering 18m EGP P&L savings (9% of category spend) for 2018 and identifying additional 27m EGP savings opportunities for 2019
- Managed the introduction of new suppliers to the category through market scanning and leveraging on PepsiCo’s scale to develop new suppliers, leading to a more competitive supplier landscape
- Introduced new pricing methodologies based on volume phasing approach instead of full year volume commitment, saving more than 36% of the category spend during the off-season period
- Extended the payment terms of 70% of the supply base with 15-30 days, generating 6.4m EGP of operating cashflow
Responsible for all procurement activities within the Sales and Marketing category with an annual procurement spend of 350m EGP:
- Implement proper supplier selection process and steer negotiations including the management of 50 internal stakeholders, and more than 30 key suppliers
- Complete transformation of the role of the procurement function, transformation held up as a model of how to manage the supplier selection process within the category
- Delivered 35m EGP of procurement benefits in the first year of transformation whilst improving stakeholder / customer engagment
Responsible for the management of strategic relationships with major Network suppliers (Ericsson, Huawei, NSN, Cisco) with an annual budget of over 270m EGP, key achievements:
- Developed and managed the transformation from a decentralized OpCo focused procurement strategy to a global strategic sourcing strategy leveraging on Group scale to deliver strong cost reductions
- Improved the category‘s annual savings by 20% (70m EGP/annum)
- Nominated as Health & Safety lead, where Egypt was ranked as the best group company in integrating the Health & Safety procedures into the supply chain process
- Nominated as SAP system lead, where I managed the training and knowledge transfer to the whole SCM team
Responsible for the end to end commercial process and supplier strategy for the technology modernization program within the Radio & Transmission category:
- Management of a budget of 700m EGP per annum
- Delivery of 330m EGP of procurement benefits in the first year of the program
- Strategic negotiation of the modernization contract with a value of over 500m EGP
- Awarded the Vodafone Outstanding Achievement Award for managing the 2011 modernization program and improving the category’s annual savings by more than 30%
- Engagement of CFO and CTO in development & execution of key procurement strategies for the program
- Recognized for training over 140 employees during the 2012 SAP system migration
