The development and implementation of commercial procedures across the company’s sectors and projects. Overseeing, and directing the commercial departments of the company with regards to administration of Prime Contract with Employers, administration of Subcontracts, change management, and claim management.
Functional manager of the commercial teams on projects with scope including initiating and setting up standard work procedures and workflows as well as evaluating, monitoring, and guiding the projects performance with regards to administration of Prime Contract with Employers, administration of Subcontracts, change management, and claim management. The overall management of the projects commercial status and commercial-related risks.
Egypt Branch Corporate Managing Office
Duties and Responsibilities: Management of the Commercial Department operations in Egypt for both corporate and projects including the review and supervision of upstream and downstream payment certificates, drafting and issuing subcontract agreements, administration of Prime Contract with Employers, administration of Subcontracts, change management, cost control and cost management, the participation in preparing commercial offers as Tender Board Member, the review of Contract Conditions for Tenders, the review of risks and opportunities in current and future tenders, and the preparation of project budgets.
Project: Cairo West Supercritical Power Station (1 x 650 MW for USD 92 Million), Cairo, Egypt.
Construction of the civil works package including site development, underground utilities, power generating facilities, auxiliary facilities, and ancillary facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities: Management of the Contracts department including quantity survey, contract administration, and cost control. Contract and subcontracts’ management including change management from inception up to negotiations and finalization. Preparation and follow-up of contractual claims. Handling and controlling project correspondence. Act on behalf of the company in all relevant project matters with the client.
Project: Apache Helicopter Procurement Program for Kattamia Air Base Project, Egypt (USD 73 Million)
Design-Build contract (for the US Army Corps of Engineers) for construction, expansion and upgrades of Kattamia Air Base, Egypt.
Duties and Responsibilities: Management of the Project Controls department including procurement, cost control, planning, quantity survey, and document control. Contract Management of a Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) contract with the United States Government, and all the project subcontracts including change management from inception up to negotiations and finalization. Preparation and follow-up of contractual claims in coordination with third party consultants and legal counsels. Act on behalf of the company in all project matters with the client.

In support of Apache Procurement Program for Kattamia Airbase Project, Egypt
Duties and Responsibilities: Assigning resources, staffing and interviewing key persons. Production of the project base line schedule and the budget. Setting up of the project procedures. Coordination with the Designer of Record for issuing the project design.

Duties and Responsibilities: Evaluation of the project controls system functions of South Youlten Gas Project in Kazakhstan to provide decision-making tools for project control and project management. Cost estimation of Musheireb Heart of Doha Project, Doha, Qatar.
Project: Saudi Embassy, Consulate and Staff Residence Project, Giza, Egypt (USD 45 Million)
A multi tower project composed of a 22 stories tower with built-up area 9, 500 square meters and a 15 stories tower with built-up area 7, 500 square meters. A low-rise podium with built-up area of 2, 000 square meters connected the two towers.
Duties and Responsibilities: Management of work and subcontract packages (Stainless Steel Façade; Aluminum and Glazing; Granite Cladding, Elevators and Lift Systems; Landscape, and Security Items). Supervision of the construction of substructure (barrettes, piles, and diaphragm walls). Full management of the processes of reinforcing steel fabrication and installation.
Project: Fairmont Hotel and Towers Heliopolis Project, Cairo, Egypt (USD 55 Million)
A hotel with built-up area 58, 000 square meters; 270 guestrooms and 8 suites, public areas with restaurants, ballroom and meeting rooms, swimming pool, spa, and landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities: Full management of the processes of reinforcing steel. Editing and revising project procedures, preparation of submittals, material inspections, participation in audits, and document control.
Project: The Golden Pyramids Plaza Project “City Stars Heliopolis”, Cairo, Egypt (USD 18 Million)
A residential and commercial complex with total built-up area of 750, 000 square meters consisting of 12 towers, shopping center, and 3 hotels.
Duties and Responsibilities: Control and monitoring of site progress for the Intercontinental Hotel and Tower. Preparation of the monthly payment, review with main contractor. Preparation and submittal of claims and variation orders, and further follow up.
