Extension of Container terminal (Area A) 82, 100 m2
Construction of 82, 100 m2 rigid pavement (10 cm. thickness pre-cast concrete pavers). The scope included excavation 126, 000 m3, filter layer (oversized gravel mixed with sand 0.3 meter thickness), base-coarse (un-bound base 1 meter thickness), Reinforced concrete (Sub-station building, Sanitation building, Leaking pit, foundations for four 45 meter height lighting masts, low voltage manholes, medium voltage manholes, fire-fighting under-ground
hydrants manholes, concrete duct banks, Ø300 mm concrete storm drainage slot-drains, cast-in-situ concrete curbs), four 45 meter height lighting masts, data cables, low voltage cables, medium voltage cables, lighting panels, fire-fighting line with under-ground fire hydrants, four containerized sub-stations, eight reefers racks steel structure, Potable water line, Ø400 mm PVC sewage pipes, Ø500 mm PVC sewage pipes, Ø800 mm R.C sewage pipes, SCADA.
Tasks:
Contract Administration
- Conduct weekly progress meetings with the contractor;
- Manage, review, recommend and execute variation orders (VO);
- Review Interim Payment Certificates / verification of quantities;
- Prepare monthly progress report;
Construction management and Supervision
- Review baseline project planning schedule;
- Review and approve technical submittals per specifications;
- Approval of performed welding, grinding/cleanings, paint systems;
- Perform routine daily site inspections and issue inspection reports;
- Document non conforming work, re-inspect and resolve;
- Review and respond to contractor’s RFI’s;
- Make preliminary and final inspection prior to TOC;
- Conduct final walk through and TO with Client;
Drafts works and As Built Review
- Prepare additional/clarifying CAD drawings where required;
- Review and approve contractor’s submitted as built;
- Quay wall inspection at ALX terminal.
- Quay wall inspection at DKH terminal.
- Barethmatic survey at ALX terminal.

The scope included excavation, filter layer, base-coarse (un-bound base 1 meter thickness), concrete (foundations for three 45 meter height lighting masts, Sewage manholes, sewage pump pit, potable-water manholes, IT manholes, low voltage manholes, fire-fighting manholes, concrete duct banks, Ø300 mm concrete storm drainage, pre-cast concrete curbs), three 45 meter height lighting masts, low voltage cables,
lighting panel, PVC sewage line Ø200 length 500 meter, fire-fighting line with under-ground fire hydrants, pre-cast concrete pavers 10 cm thickness.
Dredging and shore protection works for the Liquid terminal
Removal of existing shore protection, removal of existing filter cloth, dry excavation, dredging according to profile (1, 500, 000 m3), Geotextile, pitch-stone and construction of a gravel road.
