Retail applications & problem management manager

• Participate with the incident management team in the resolution of all high severity incidents within the country.

• Maintain a local tracker for all high severity Problems for fast traction and prompt closure through regular discussions with the vendor and Central teams

• Manage the Change Requirements of all the Business areas in terms of technical and business analysis, Financials, Relevant approvals and sign off until final delivery and production deployment.

Release Management & Business Adhoc Change requests:

• Focal point between the vendor and the business for release management, starting from release development, cost approvals, testing; until production deployment to meet the business requirements.

• Acting as a point of escalation for critical incidents and Problems that require immediate resolution.

• Managing Retail related Projects from technology perspective

• Aware of the organizational matrix and the different escalation lines.

• Translate the business / IT vision and strategy in a local context, and ensure its realization through leadership and enthusiasm.

• Develop plans to ensure effective scheduling of core banking Applications and Interfaces Changes and ensure the completion of projects within expected time and cost frames.

•The role owner will take on responsibility for supporting and managing the delivery of Change for a specific business cluster or organization within Barclays Egypt. Work with colleagues at all levels to perform Change and Release Management, as well as provide Change and Release consultancy, training, guidance and support.
•Utilizing and developing skills in managing the successful delivery of Release through applying appropriate control, management and governance through the Change and Release Process.
•Identifying and leading continuous improvements to ensure an efficient and effective Change and Release process whilst maintaining the governance required for service protection and stability.
•Provide Change and Release Management consultancy to customers and stakeholders a required, specifically focusing on the support of the business cluster to which the role is aligned.
•Will be involved in IT work as an excellent team player. Emphasis will be on managing and bringing IT knowledge to own assignment work and knowledge sharing.
•Proactively work with the cluster to review significant Change and Release, identifying Change and Release slots, providing clear direction on the readiness for implementation of significant Change and Release.
•Work with stakeholders to identify and address weaknesses in the Change process
•Champion the use of Release Management technical standards, procedures and best practice.
•Lead the cluster through the transition as the Change and Release Process moves towards ITIL 3 alignment.
•Proactively identify opportunities for toolset and process training (e.g. new users; new projects etc.).
•Proactively solicit feedback on all aspects of the Change and Release Process from stakeholders. Define, evaluate and implement improvements.
•Arrange and run feedback forums with process users and governance functions (e.g. GISD Risk, Audit, Quality Assurance, Global Testing Services etc.).
•Proactively develop productive working relationships with other related functions (e.g. Configuration and Asset Management, Incident, Problem, etc.).
•Be responsible for own learning and development.
•Support audit preparation and field work as necessary.
•Participated in the development of an application using a structured life-cycle methodology
•Experienced with deployment of new or enhanced applications into production
•Understands SLAs and they are used to measure service delivery with metrics and targets.
•Aware of planned enhancements: can discuss their benefits and considerations.
•Has experience with tracking the flow of documents and processes.
•Understands all major internal support functions and services.
•Has comprehensive understanding of Change and Release Management principles and the processes required supporting them
•Has experience of Incident and Problem management disciplines.
•Has knowledge of maintaining Configuration Items, raising Changes and planning Releases.
•Has knowledge of the Service Desk and Incident systems.
•Has experience in developing and maintaining reference documents.
•Familiar with documentation standards, guidelines and best practices.
•Technology focal point of contact for PINGIT, BMB, BTB ( mobile banking) projects
