Daily managing the operations of maintenance and cleaning services.
• Responsible for the security, maintenance and services of work facilities to ensure that they meet the needs of the contracts.
• Created sustainable improvement initiatives for efficient use of energy and reduced re-lamping by 93%.

Responsible for carrying out day-to-day and month-to month maintenance, repair, and improvements. Within company policies, responsible for managing work schedule.
This includes, but is not limited to, maintaining communication with the administrative assistant and the shop manager to assess maintenance needs and arrange scheduling, finding resources for contract services and supplies, purchasing of supplies, repairing as requested, carrying a cell phone and responding to emergency calls, maintaining accurate hour and mileage records, maintaining purchase receipt records, organization of tools and supplies and overall condition of the shop, maintaining a tools inventory list, and other tasks as assigned.
Perform, plan, direct, coordinate and control all facility maintenance to ensure proper safety, sanitation and mechanical functions for the facility including; grounds and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
• Coordinate all maintenance work to properly maintain WMS facilities and grounds.
• Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities and process work assignments.
• Establish and maintain a reliable network of outside vendors and suppliers to ensure cost effective and timely support of the maintenance function.
• Hire contractors or subcontractors to perform maintenance work to specialized or extensive to be performed by the maintenance staff.
• Ensure all permits/licenses are maintained.
• Perform routine inspections of all systems and equipment. Perform routine repair work and other work of a general maintenance nature.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department.
• Ensure that all WMS policies and procedures are followed related to the performance of the maintenance function.
• Establish and communicate the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Undertake the scheduled and breakdown maintenance of engineering equipment
ensure that facilities equipment runs smoothly and reliably.
Work involves:

supervising 2 engineers and 18 technical staff
obtaining specialist components, fixtures or fittings

Shift and 'on-call' work may be required, particularly where manufacturing equipment is in continual 24-hour operation
