Plan, coordinate and advise department associates of work to be completed daily.
Oversee daily set up of machinery and equipment prior to production for efficient and effective operation.
Monitor packaging line efficiency through PLC automation.
Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians.
Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance.
Inspect and maintain building systems.
Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance.
Monitor inventory of materials and equipment.
Participate in coordination of projects.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods (SQF)that meet regulatory and company requirements.
Assist with developing and auditing Preventative Maintenance(PM) program.
Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports.
• Maintain and troubleshoot plant electrical distribution panels
• Install, maintain and troubleshoot all 480vac to 24vdc plant electrical systems and Motor Control Centers
• Use EI&C, Mechanical and Operational skills to be able to troubleshoot and repair process and packaging equipment (fillers, conveyors, drives, packers, palletizers, etc.) as well as operate this equipment from time to time
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives and other electronically controlled equipment
• Install new equipment and implement engineering changes
• Provide on-going support for evolving machine controls needs and provide the daily support required to maintain the manufacturing systems by maintaining, troubleshooting and modifying/editing EIC systems, technologies, and documentation
• Electrical training of new EIC Tech's and Plant Technicians
• Operate packaging/process systems as needed to support team staffing needs (flow to the work)
• Provide leadership to the team/plant for both technical and operational challenges and flows to the work to improve team performance
• Develops others on team
• Performs necessary steps to ensure Personnel Safety, Quality and Food Safety
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Identify corrective actions and implementation of countermeasures to maximize productivity.
• Responsible for all plant and equipment on hires, off hires, breakdowns, corrective actions and counter-measures
• Ensure relevant materials and consumables are identified, sourced and delivered in a timely manner
Provides engineering advice/support on Head Office requirement of electrical/mechanical systems
installation and maintenance of existing systems and equipment. Plans the inspections/rectification of
all electro-mechanical works.
Responsible for the mechanical and electrical services provided on site and the day to day supervision and monitoring of all ongoing work on site.
Supervise and coordinate on-site teams and sub-contractors, ensuring they complete tasks on time and safely to required standards.
Allocate work and ensure completion in accordance with the project schedule.
Provide supervision and monitoring of costs, schedules, safety and direction on all project works Adhere to all Statutory Standards and Regulations
Responsible for daily checks on Site and equipment so that they work at optimum efficiency.
Assist teams with resolving matters arising.
Cover other supervisors, as required.
Responsible for ensuring that teams and subcontractors deadlines are met with due care, without undue delay
Plan and organize ad-hoc works and/or variation requests together with planned activities for Site and equipment
Keep up to date with and have an awareness of, new products and new improved working methods that can add value by improving quality and reducing costs.
Complete project documentation and reports accurately and concisely.
Identify corrective actions and implementation of countermeasures to maximize productivity.
Responsible for all plant and equipment on hires, off hires, breakdowns, corrective actions and counter-measures
Ensure relevant materials and consumables are identified, sourced and delivered in a timely manner to minimize project disruptions maintaining records and controlling stock.
Maintain effective health and safety systems, including completion of risk assessments, method statements, tool box talks, etc.
• Take personal responsibility for health and safety.
• To provide full technical support to the manufacturing function working alongside the production team.
• Help in minimizing waste due to downtime and to re-cycle all product effectively.
• Overhaul and repair of plant.
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) conformance.
• Troubleshooting of Electrical, Instrument and Control System.
• Assist in the installation, commission, start-up and documentation of sustaining and capital projects within all areas of the plant.
• Always work in a safe manner. Participate in site safety meetings, close hazard ID and near miss safety programs.
• Identify and implement energy-saving solutions.
• Manage daily work orders logs schedules and various project documentation.
• Reinstated relays, switches, positions of sensing devices and motors with the use of hand tools.
• Diagnosed malfunctioning devices including transformers, motors and light fixtures and replaced broken or damaged cables and wires.
• Read blueprints and drawing schematics to connect power supplies to machines and equipment with correct wires or cables.
• Works safely each day performing industrial maintenance activities - no unsafe behaviors and good safety mindset.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs general maintenance on all base building and critical system equipment.
• Maintain tools, order and track inventory for repairs. Maintain logs, document equipment repairs, adhere to daily work plan, track time, and communicate daily with the Maintenance Manager.
• Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments.
• Performs a wide variety of functions such as installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for generating, distributing, and utilizing electrical energy.
• Uses instruments to test circuits and replaces or installs new power, lights, electronic and control circuits
• Installed, maintained, and repaired electro-mechanical systems, machinery electrical controls, PLC programs, Servo & and all other electrical control functions in plant.
• Wired circuit breakers circuit panels and sub-panels.
• Corrected electrical, electronic and mechanical malfunctions throughout plant.
• Completed routine rounds to ensure maximum production of the overall plant mission.
• Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products.
• Draft and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components and devices.
• Prepare drawings and diagrams for electrical devices, new machines and installations.
• Responsible in Testing, Troubleshooting, Maintenance of PLC control panel, PFI, LT and MCC Panels of Chillers, water treatment plant, Generator etc.
• Preparation of LV panels layout for the client’s requirements through AUTOCAD and Bill of Material.
• Responsible in Installation, Testing, Troubleshooting, Commissioning, Maintenance of PLC control panel, ATS, MOR, AMF, PFI, LT and MCC Panels.
• PLC & HMI installation.
• Industrial control components installation & troubleshooting.
• Responsible in making Electrical & ELV design for the proposed projects.
• Computation of Electrical Loads.
