I am responsible for managing the projects of the group in Germany, Cyprus, Afghanistan and UAE. These projects include Residential, Hospitality, mixed use Building and Industrial Projects such as Poultry Projects and Cement Plant. UAE Projects Include:

My responsibilities include the following duties among others:

 Preparation of the Final Conditions of Contract for contracts to be awarded.
 Prepare and Compile the Basic Specifications and define the project scope.
 Review cost estimates for stages from Concept design consultancy to construction.
 Preparing and Implementing the reporting formats & Standard Operating Procedures.
 Finalizing the program of works along with resources planning.
 Ensuring that the milestones are achieved and budgets are not exceeded.
 Implementing the QHSE Plans and procedures & ensure compliance with regulations.

Resident Engineer at AlSuweidi Engineering Consultanat Bureau

Client: Abu Dhabi Housing Authority. Employer: Musanada
Project includes 306 Villas, Mosques, commercial buildings, community centre, parks, substations. Works include roads, water supply, electrical, sewerage, storm water, telecommunication and gas. As the R.E. (Infra) my duties included:

 Coordinating with the relevant authorities for the approvals and required permits.
 Design review and workshops for any required design modifications,
 Supervision of the construction works and overseeing the AREs, Surveyor etc.
 Review of work program with the planning engineer and attending Progress Meetings.
 Sub-contractor’s evaluations, IPC evaluation and Submitting reports to the Employer.
 Review of submittals, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements etc.
 Review the progress of the works and guide the Contractor on more efficient methods

This is a structure with Pile Foundations. Floor slabs are Post-Tensioned slabs. Ground Floor Area is 2000sqm. Total Covered area of the building is 52, 000sqm. So far 30% of the structure has been executed.

Manager Projects at Tech Global

Projects managed:

 Building and Infrastructure works for City Life Mall. AED 50 Million (80% complete at time of taking over)
The main building and major infrastructure works including sewerage, street lighting, fire-fighting system, power supply, water supply were planned and executed by Tech Group. I completed the project.


 Ajman Academy (School) \[AED 15 M\]. Consultants: Al Gurg Consultants.


This projects was 75% completed when I took over. I ensured that the project was completed and handed over to the client in time for the new academic year.




 295 Villas for Mixed Use Residential Development, Sun Island, Sharjah Water Front. AED 350 Million


Client: Star Dev. Consultant: NAGA. Contractor: Tech Construction. Precast By: Abu Dhabi Precast.
These are precast villas on cast-in-situ RCC foundations. There are 3, 4, 5 & 6 bedroom Villas. Preparing the execution strategy for the project. Finalizing all contractual agreements including for Precast and MEP works. Worked on the Project Quality Plan, HSE Plan and Program of work for final submission.



 G+1 Showroom and Residential Building at Al Jurf, Ajman AED 25 Million.


 Commercial and Residential Building at Al Jurf (near China Mall. Ajman) \[G + 4 Floors\]. AED 20 Million.



Other assignments:

 Team member in preparing the Standard Operating Procedures at Group level including Operations, procurement, contracts, QHSE, Planning & Monitoring.

 Team member for Developing and running pilot project on productivity model which will be used by the Contracting Units of the group (Tech Construction, Tech Foundation, Tech Engineering.

 Team member for developing the Project Controls procedures and monitoring their implementation.

I was supervising the construction of all the 3 apartment buildings (G+3, G+4, G+5) in Phase 1 and was reporting to the Senior Project Manager. I had the following duties:

 Review and approve Technical Submittals, Material Submittals and Method Statements.
 Review and approve Shop drawings & As-Built Drawings including for Post Tensioned Slabs
 Conducting and approving Work Inspections, Material Inspection Requests and On-site tests
 Study the road profile to ensure provisions for smooth flow of traffic and reduce the amount of cut and fill.
 Attending meetings with specialist suppliers and subcontractors along with main contractor.
 Preparation and issuance of Site Instructions and other instructions as required.
 Review of sub-contractors’ Technical proposals and propose alternative proposals when required.
 Ensuring compliance with sustainability requirements as per LEED and BREEM (UK)
 Coordinate with Technical Coordination Consultants, Khatib and Alami for all Technical matters.

I had the following duties at this project:
 Coordination with client, local authorities as well as coordination of design with head office.
 Ensuring Implementation of QA/QC, HSE procedures and adherence to local regulations.
 Conducted site visits and Chaired weekly & monthly Progress meetings, then submit progress reports.
 Reviewed and evaluated contractor’s IPC, Claims and approval of Sub-Contractors.

 Project: Harsco Warehouses and Office Blocks \[AED 30 Million\]

Responsible for execution and assisting in all QA/QC procedures, including witnessing of trial mixes, coordination with Trakhees for CED inspections. Coordination of Green Building requirements for EHS.
ACHIEVEMENT: By changing the method of soil replacement I was able to save about AED 350, 000

 Project: Extension of Dubai Customs Head Quarters with Parking (G+4) \[AED 100 Million\]

Worked during the handing over stage (last 3 months) and was responsible for snagging de-snagging, preparation of handing over documents and obtaining Taking-Over Certificate from the client.

Construction Manager at System Construct

Position: Construction Manager (November 2011 to October 2012) approved by ADNOC

Project: ADNOC Housing Complex, package 11, RUWAIS, Western Region, Abu Dhabi \[AED 650 Million\]

Project consisted of 8 nos.G+11 apartment buildings as well as the related infrastructure. I was the construction manager responsible for construction of 3 G+12 Residential Buildings as well the entire infrastructure for all the 8 buildings (G+12). Infrastructure included a substation, electricity supply, water supply, sewerage, storm water drainage, street lighting, road works, boundary wall, pavement, hard and soft landscaping etc. As construction manager I was responsible for coordination of design, implementation of all QHSE procedures, resource planning, coordination between civil and MEP works including infrastructure. Understanding and implementing all relevant local authority regulations was part of my duties including those for infrastructure works.

I was the engineer as per FIDIC on the following projects:

Projects under direct supervision (worked as full time Resident Engineer):


 Atarfil Factory in JAFZA( Jabel Ali Free Zone) \[AED 27 Million\]
This included factory building, office area, water tanks, holding tank, service block and road.

MAJOR ACHEIVEMENTS: During my review of the dewatering proposal, I discovered that the subcontractor had overdesigned the system. I redesigned the system and saved about 230, 000 AED for the client.

 G+6 Easy Hotel - JAFZA, Dubai World Project \[AED 93 Million\]
This was a precast structure clad with EIFS. It was a Gold rated LEED Project.

MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS: The proposed position of the holding tank was adjacent to the boundary wall and required shoring costing about AED 2.5 Million. After approval from the approving authority the position of the tank was shifted inwards thus avoiding the need for shoring thus saving about AED 2.5 Million for the client.

 Team leader for review of Extension of Time applications for all projects and technical study of Claims.

Resident Engineer at Kashif Aslam & Associates

Covered area of the project was 15, 000 m2. There were 13 structures including Ambassador’s Residence, Consulate building, 8 Villas and ancillary buildings. I was the Engineer in accordance with FIDIC.

Project: Construction Manager of Sunder Industrial Estate Project, Lahore, Pakistan


The project involved construction of about 80km of rigid pavement (RCC SLABS), construction of 120 seepage wells, construction of 10 overhead water tanks of 100, 000 gallons each, gate structures, and infrastructure including water supply, drainage, electricity. I had following duties:

 Coordinate with the consultant for all technical and commercial matters including Interim Payment Certificates.
 Provide Technical support to planning and commercial departments.
 Team Leader for setting up the QAQC Procedures for the project and procure a fully functional site LAB.
 Support the project manager in planning the project execution strategy.
 Advise the earthworks department for optimum use of equipment and proper planning for earthworks.
