*for Design and Build projects, roles includes review of drawings, identify scope of works required for the project, measurements of quantities based on mark-up drawings, write technical descriptions for each scope, send enquiries / solicit prices from suppliers or subcontractors, evaluate vendors quotation, scope and price, compare vendors costs to identify which one is cost efficient for pricing, prepare the full BOQ with cost summary for management review of margins.
*for Build or tender projects, roles includes review completeness of tender package, instructions, drawings, identify scope of works, raise tender clarifications (RFIs), re-measurements of quantities against tender BOQ and tender drawings, send enquiries / solicit prices from suppliers or subcontractors, evaluate vendors quotation, scope and price, compare vendors costs to identify which one is cost efficient for pricing, writing tender qualifications, prepare the full BOQ in CS format with cost summary for management review of margins for final bid offer.
*undertake Value engineering, review the scope or specifications with Design Team against costs, identify areas for cost savings, suggests alternative materials / suppliers, prepare revised cost & summary for management review.
*Post contract role includes validation of purchase orders against budget, negotiate costs as required prior to order confirmation, make sure that procurement schedule are on track, prepares variation orders as per site instructions, prepares project summary for accounts invoicing to client.
