Aiman Bustanji

Led the initiative to apply Educational Neuroscience research findings in teaching
and learning and leading the efforts to bring all the related parties and experts from
MOE (curriculums), Emirates College for Advanced Education, and TTI to develop
the first program in this field, as well as planning the implementation phases and
onsite support for teachers in classrooms.
- Team member to implement the STEM education program in MoE schools and
follow up applying STEM in classrooms.
- Responsible for designing, planning, and implementing effective face-to-face, and
online (synchronous and asynchronous) teacher training programs and short
workshops with focus on Physics and Science content areas.
- Supported other TTI's Specialists in transformation from face-to-face to online
modality.
- Developed and implemented PD programs for PLC training for public school
teachers in MoE.
- Supported the implementation of PD forums, and webinars, as well as providing
suggestions to enhance these activities.
- Supervised the implementation of PD training programs (specialized and PLC) in
public schools, provided tailored support, as well as performed periodic
performance reviews for PLC trainers based on TTI certified trainer standards.
- Helped design effective teaching materials, based on the scientific basis of
education according to the theories of the brain.
- Supported the implementation of the Education Technology in teaching science in
alignment with MOE smart learning system-wide strategy.
- Team member to Identify new national and international trends in professional
development approaches, develop quality PD programs, as well as to provide
trailered onsite support for science teachers to improve teaching and learning.

- Worked closely with the LMS team to identify new requirements and services
needed to enhance PD delivery for educators and school leaders.
- Led the new employee training program “Irtiqa” (for new teachers, new school
leaders and new MOE employees). This includes working closely with the
recruitment department to conduct need analysis for new employees and
supervise the implementation of tailored pedagogical and educational technology
PD programs. (Face-to-face and online workshops, and onsite support.)
- Professionally supported the recruitment and development of UAE National
teachers. (teach4uae)

Responsible for designing, planning and leading effective teacher/ school
leader training workshops with focus on Science content area as well as
carrying the following tasks:
o Worked closely with MOE training dept., and QRTA colleagues cooperatively
to develop PD program for science teachers and support in-service teachers
to improve teaching and learning.
o Led the development of face-to-face and online components for BATT
program (Blended Approach for Teacher Training) for physics teachers on
Edraak platform, in cooperation with University of Jordan, MOE training
dept. and MOE physics teachers.
o Supported QRTA science trainers to customize effective strategies to
promote quality school-based teacher learning communities.
o Designed and led training workshops and reported on participants’ feedback.
o Designed, planed and implemented effective teacher support activities, and
developed required training materials.
o Supported schools and participants selection process, including school visits,
interviews, collecting baseline information and preparing relevant reports.
o Compiled and shared lessons learnt and effective training strategies and
practices.
Math and Science Program Lead, The Specialized Institute for Professional Training
of Teachers (SIPTT), MOE, Muscat, Oman,

Led and managed Principal HED program's activities.
- Managed MOE’s scholarships for teachers studying HED, in coordination with
Yarmook University and MOE department of scholarships.
- Managed the evaluation processes for Principal HED learners in coordination with
Yarmook University and INHOLLAND University, The Netherlands
- Closely worked with other team members in a committee assigned to monitor,
evaluate, and assure the quality of HED trainer’s performance in compliance with
the CADER standards.
- Coach new trainers on most effective strategies, and techniques for effective
training and delivery. This included coaching them on assessing trainees’ learning,
classroom management, course designing, planning and development, discussion
facilitation skills and techniques, either face-to-face or using the appropriate online
education technologies (CADER portal).
