Business Support Assistant
HANDLING OFFICAL SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS OF WFP PAKISTAN
Prepare and maintain updated media and donor contact lists;
Collect, collate and archive material from the field (e.g. video and photos, success stories,
flyers), including caption information and transcripts;
Review bag markings, brochures, posters and other publications in
compliance with WFP corporate and other branding guidelines;
Coordinate the translation of press releases, opinion editorials and other public documents;
Disseminate reports, flyers, press releases, public service announcements, video news
releases and other written and multi-media materials to local and international media in
various languages as directed
Assist in the preparation and organization of media and/or donor visits to WFP operational
sites in the field and for other donor events and meetings,
Monitor print and electronic media
Maintain accurate records of media activities;
Manage the WFP visibility items stores, including making recommendations for purchase
and news items and procurement process
Produce reports on WFP Partnerships, Communications and Reporting activities as required;
Regularly maintain backup files;
Organize and manage WFP stalls/booths at media occasions such as press conferences
and/or other advocacy events with government counterparts, sister UN agencies, NGOs or
private sector partners;
Prepare/source content for and maintain the WFP Pakistan website and social media and
support in the development of a social media plan for WFP Pakistan programs incorporating
all SOs/ thematic areas;
Support in monitoring the social media trends nationally as well as on global level
The key responsibilities which i have performed are :
• Development of communication part, advocacy messages/materials and translation into national and regional languages for National Advocacy Strategy for Scaling Up Nutrition
• Development of Effective Information, Education and Communication (IEC) material for implementation of advocacy, media and communication activities planned under PC-1 to raise awareness about nutrition and related issues
• Conducted training in provincial SUN Units of Planning and Development departments (Punjab, KP & FATA, Baluchistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir) for effective use of communication and social media

• Script writing for National level documentaries and public service announcements related to nutrition problems & its solution planned under PC-1 awareness activities
• Development and graphic designing of quarterly newsletter
• Handling official SUN Movement Pakistan social media accounts and hosting live session on nutrition related issues
