• Finalized all the above stated self-study reports for accreditation and fixed its related items of evidence to substantiate the best practices.
• Supporting the Dean for external review for the national academic accreditation of (9) programs and (3) universities.
• Provided consultancy support on quality management and accreditation to the Respiratory Care Program of Prince Sultan Military College of Health Sciences, Dhahran, on behalf of the University
•Trained and continue training faculty members of colleges who are engaged with quality management for preparation of Program Specifications, Course Reports, Annual Program Reports, conducting self-evaluation of programs, preparation of self-study reports, etc., by meeting the standards of the accreditation agency
•Developing & managing the database for quality management and national/international ranking of the university.
•Tracking data on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to accreditation of the University.
•Supported the IT section in developing a web-based application for tracking (KPIs) and continued supporting IT in developing software for managing and maintaining the items of evidence supporting the good practices of the University.
•Played a key role in the development of the Self-Study Report for Academic Accreditation of the University, based on the reports developed by the steering committees of different quality standards to obtain accreditation from the National Commission for Assessment and Academic Accreditation (NCAAA).
•Involved in developing/ updating academic policies & procedures
•Managed records of the Archives.
•Coordinated a prestigious cohort study of the organization, Population Registry of Lifestyle Diseases (PROLIFE) covering a large community population of over 200, 000, as Project In-charge.
•Coordinated an international multicenter epidemiological study, Prospective Urban Rural Epidemiology (PURE), conducted by Population Health Research Institute (PHRI), McMaster University, Canada.
•Supervised a prospective cohort study, Indo-Danish Collaboration on Diabetes Epidemiology (INDADE) in a community with adult population of over 11, 000 under a collaborative program with the Clinical Epidemiology, University of Southern Denmark & Novo Nordisk, Denmark.
•Coordinated and managed the study Environmental Profile of a Community’s Health (EPOCH), a multicenter collaborative study of PHRI, McMaster University, Canada.
•Coordinated the activities of an international undergraduate academic program of world learning, in collaboration with the International Honors Program (IHP), Boston, USA
•Provided active assistance to the principal investigator in preparing manuscript, consent forms, study questionnaires etc.
•Performed data related acts including - Data cleaning, analysis, monitoring and maintaining database of all research programs & experience in iDataFax.
•Provided comprehensive logistics/coordination support in organizing scientific conferences, ethical committees, scientific advisory committees, including inscription of minutes of meetings and providing secretarial assistance to the Chairman.
•Provided leadership to 50 field workers and office staff and providing them needed guidance in collection of vital events and inputs on hospitalization and major diseases as part of the population registry.
•Coordinated WHO supported project to identify the causes of death, as part of the PROLIFE program.
•Conducted several medical camps as part of the research programs.
•Provided training to over 800 health workers to instill needed skills to impart home screening for diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, Hemoglobin estimation, micro albuminuria, over weight/ obesity etc as part of a household health screening program, ‘Saantwanam’, which is a joint venture of Health Action by People and, Kudumbashree \[Government of Kerala\].
•Counseled the patients screened by the health workers and patients in the diabetes clinic on nutritional needs and health education. Issued health reports with recommendations to the study subjects.
•Participated national/ international meetings conducted in Bangalore, New Delhi, Dubai, Istanbul, Beijing and Toronto.
•Monitored / tracked blood samples of subjects stored in - 70 deep freezers and coordinating the transfer of samples in liquid nitrogen to the national coordinating centre.
•Involved in selecting study subjects based on the study protocol to elucidate data/ vital information after obtaining written consent.
•Managed the research laboratory and the staff. Providing guidance/training to the research assistants/ associates on the study procedures.
•Collected required information from local governing bodies, to study transition in the health sector, a project supported by The European Commission (DFID).
•Provided effective support to the medical information services of the organization, by gathering latest medical research findings from the World Wide Web.
•Managed a health research project in a large community on the prevalence of diabetes in rural and urban areas.
•Served as team leader and motivated the research team in the field and set up supportive relations with local bodies, people and communities.
•Efficiently administered detailed general and clinical questionnaires to thousands of subjects and collected vital data, including diet etc.
•Carried out preliminary analysis of the general and biochemical data of the subjects for presentation in internal meetings.
