Presently Working as Assistant Executive Engineer with Chief Engineer J & K Govt. Electrical Maintenance & RE Wing, Power Development Department, Srinagar. (KMR).EM&RE Wing Srinagar is the main agency responsible for Construction as well as Operation and Maintenance of Transmission and Distribution Electrical Network along with distribution of Energy in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. I have been working in this Wing from last about eight years (Junior Engineer-4 years, Assistant Ex Engineer-since December 2006 till date) and am involved in monitoring as Project Engineer of following activities:
Construction, Testing and commissioning of 76 No. 33 / 11 kV substations up to 10 MVA, 8345 No. 11 / 0.43 kV Distribution sub stations along with 538 Kms 33 kV lines, 4650 Kms 11 kV lines and 10500 Kms LT lines.
Construction, Testing and commissioning of indoor and outdoor equipments of Sub stations like Power Panels, control and protection panels, circuit breakers and other allied accessories.
Testing and commissioning of above equipments.
Design review at site and updating of drawings.
Planning and Design Wing.: From October 1999 to December 2001.

This power House which is a peak power generating station has three 25MW MS- 5000 series Mark IV GE Electric U.S.A make Gas Turbine and four 25MW MS 5000 series Mark IV BHEL, Hyderabad, India made Gas Turbine.
The job involved following activities: Starting and synchronizing of the incoming alternators after planned and forced shutdowns.
Studying the active and reactive power demand on the Power House and its automatic sharing by alternators.
Leading a team of technicians involved in operation and maintenance of Power House.
Planning of preventive maintenance of the Power House and its implementation.
Coordination with power controller for optimum economic utilization of power house.

The Regional Engineering College Srinagar is situated near the famous Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar.
