• Manage multiple projects simultaneously through successful leadership of engineering, drafting and administrative staffs
• Effectively communicate verbally and in written format to clients, advising on appropriate building systems, architectural, structural, and civil accommodations for fire protection systems, and clearly present the design alternatives and associated costs to the Client
• Communicate relevant project information to other project engineers and Principals
• Preparing the Fire & Life safety design report for major projects
• Preparing the specification based on type of project
• Resolve project issues in a timely fashion
• Implement NFPA, International Codes, FM Global Data Sheets, and UAE fire code documents as applicable.
• Generate project Life Safety documents
• Generate Fire Protection, Fire Alarm, Central Battery system design documents etc...
• Review hydraulic calculations and understand how to perform them by hand
Review contractor submittals and shop drawings for compliance with contract
documents and contractor test procedures
Major Responsibilities:
• Preparation of Design Drawings, Schematic & Riser diagram for Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm, Central Battery System & Voice Evacuation System etc.
• Capabilities of design for large projects in residential, commercial Industrial, Hospitals and Hotels sectors.
• Preparation of Hydraulic calculation for Sprinkler and Fire Fighting system using by HASS.
• Preparation of Gas suppression system flow calculation using by FIKE.
• Familiarity with force protection NFPA standards, building and UAE fire codes
• Preparing the estimation of sprinkler, Fire Fighting system, Fire alarm system, deluge system, suppuration systems etc...
• Quality checking of drawing as per Consultant Specification.
• Co-ordinate with other engineering disciplines on all aspect during the development of shop drawings to ensure confirmative of Design with requirement carryout
• Reviewing of the updated submittals and drawings
• Interactions with Site Engineers and Sub-Contractors to support construction team at site.
